That at the least suggests they were Christians. What parents who are Christians or of any faith, really, don't pray regularly, some even daily. for safety for their kids?
Actually, neither of us knows the answer to that question in this case. More importantly, we don't know if they prayed with the right kind of faith, as Jesus specifies. In any case, as already mentioned, the Bible teaches that "all are victimized by time and chance."
And yet you call on us to believe that God is more open to protecting and healing if people visit the magic land of Lourdes? It's really outrageous.
No, it is your comment that is "outragious."
First, I conceded that many who go to Lourdes for healing are not healed.
Second, as you know, the Catholic Church has appointed a totally secular medical board at Lourdes to gather all the relevant medical records proving the supplicant's illness or physical condition, an investigation that often lasts decades. Only when the healing is instantaneous, lasting, and unprecedented in medical literature is it considered a miracle. By contrast, what proof do you have of anyone you know experiencing a miraculous healing?
Fourth, Jesus' mother Mary authorized Bernadette to dig in clay to find a healing spring that immediately produced miracles when the sick came in contact with it. Do you have the integrity to watch any of the awesome testimonies I posted here?
