Also change takes time, I'd say we have a better chance for change than we had yesterday.

The problem is that the Dems don't have time. They need to accomplish something in two years or it all falls apart again. And they've got Trump holding the veto card during those two years. And now apparently pressuring Sam Alito to retire from SCOTUS before the end of the year so he can appoint and the GOP Congress can confirm a conservative replacement before the new Democratic Congress takes power. Which means even if the Dems win in 2028, they face a hostile SCOTUS and a conservative base more than willing to challenge their legislative agenda to that SCOTUS. Yes, this is a step forward but it's small one and will be just as revealing of the weaknesses in their system as the last two years have been.

Party affiliation is never the arbiter of the rights or wrongs.

The donor class ultimately captures both sides.

Regardless of who's in office, big money still dictates.
