I think he's going to be tied up in Venezuela for a while and Congressional approval for any future adventures, even sending troops to "secure the oil" in Venezuela, could be hard to get. Even the GOP, including MAGA, is balking at this idea of a longterm US occupation. And as I understand it, the V-P of Venezuela is officially in charge right now regardless of what Trump thinks. The US doesn't have boots on the ground there other than CIA and I imagine those agents were evacuated as part of the operation. Maduro's "arrest" was an in and out raid by Delta Force, not a full-on invasion. For the US to "run" the country and control the oil, he needs the US Army to go in and even the current Congress might make that difficult.
As for here, I doubt they'd bother invading. They can basically buy us fairly easily, just work to get a compliant, pro-American party like the CPC in control. Even the Liberals are not as hostile to the US as they sometimes try to make us think they are and if Trump goes in 2028, we'll be happily back in their sphere eventually.
