What Legacy Does Trump Leave?

I'm afraid the best we can hope for is a major stroke incurred by making him very very very angry. He is 80. He is an odd colour. He purportedly has an odd diet. One doesn't escape these factors forever.

From what I understand legally (which isn't alot) he doesn't have total immunity.....unofficial presidential actions such as private capacity campaign related activities (interacting with fake electors to overturn an election) or actions related to private parties(discussions or agreements with private individuals regarding unofficial matters, or engaging in private conduct that is not a function of the presidency.
The lower courts decide what is official or unofficial......which sounds like it isn't always clear.
Then I wonder what constitutes treason...has there been any examples during this term that suggests he has exposed too much information to countries that could use that information to harm the US? I don't know....would that be treason?
Is changing the constitution from a democratic republic to a form of dictatorship a reason to think treason or is total disregard given to his actions concerning this? Is it treason for more than just a president that includes those who support and abet these actions?
Again, I don't know the law concerning these things, but I can't help but think the USA's own finely crafted constitution should hold valuable ammunition against any president defying its basic principles.....
What gives that there is nothing to reign in this guy? He's out of control, everybody sees it....and nothing is done to tone him down?

Could a person simply endowed with excess self-interest be declared treason to themselves ... especially if you do not believe in such oddities. One thus becomes perfect as nothing can be ... if they are real!

It is said that to be human is ... you know what? Do not let that loose ...

I saw a commentator yesterday day they wouldn't be surprised to see the West Wing go too. That thought had crossed my mind too. Not that I think it's actually a possibility. Who knows though. Did we think he'd do half of what he's done already? He has zero respect for historical buildings or much of anything. That cartoon is quite plausible.

Trump chose McCrery Architects to design the extension, as the firm specializes in the classical style which matches the current White House complex. The construction work will be led by Clark Construction, while AECOM will head the engineering team.

Well, the design fits. Looks nice. Can be renovated inside to use for offices or boardrooms, later - and that will cost more money. It was still a waste of the peoples’ money done without their consultation. That’s the most generous assessment.

The people don’t get a direct say — because it’s not their money.

It’s legal, constitutional, and fully within presidential authority when privately funded.
What about the almost universally accepted fact that it is the People's House (so therefore the private money is a red herring). What about the long standing processes for approvals to changes to the building. What about the historic nature of the building.

Did he verify where the money came from using receipts and the quotes from the architects and builders?

I doubt that it is fully 'within presidential authority" to destroy federal buildings like the White House without serious consultation. Mr. Trump, after all, is supposed to be an American President, and not a Russian Tsar.

I also like the suggestion that after Trump leaves office, the ballroom be named the "President Barak Obama Ballroom."

Yeah right. …and as if he cares about the constitution.

Also…“We won’t touch the existing structure.” - Donald Trump

If true that none of it was public money though, how libertarian of him.

Who actually thinks he’d be doing this if he was planning to leave office in the next few years? It would be unconstitutional to install the Trump Dynasty, but it’s looking more like that’s his MO.
