What Legacy Does Trump Leave?

Don't underestimate the American people....they will protest, even if it's later than sooner. After all they became a country based on this premise when they separated from great Britain to embrace democracy.
Just now we are starting to hear the Democrats are finally speaking out and joining in protest against Trump and Musk.

Are you saying that scat will fly? Fecund comprehension ... or just a stinking thought to friends of bullies?

Then in bull fights often the town gets beef ... civil?

Somewhere deep in my brain I always wondered if Trump stole this election, but of course because Trump claimed that he had the election stolen from him while running for his 2nd term, I didn't think anyone wanted to go there as it would look like a pathetic attempt to use Trump's own tactics and based on just a feeling of "what if?"...no more than a conspiracy theory. But there was this niggling in my brain.....why was Trump enamored with surrounding himself with the highest tech savvy CEO's in the industry? And why during the campaign did he keep saying, " I don't need your votes?" Who says that while campaigning?
Well apparently there's a guy giving a voice to those very thoughts:

I don’t think he did. Only because he wasn’t in charge of it, or he might’ve. Unfortunately I think his sycophants legally elected him and trying to claim otherwise could really do more harm than good to already very shaken democracy. Hopefully sane Republicans can counter some of his bad moves with state laws.

Here's what Greg Palast stated in his article....while my imagination created a high tech interference, this guy says it was voter suppression ( or Jim Crow) that won the election for Trump.

Trump Lost. Vote Suppression Won. vote-suppression-won/

That, I can believe. Not stealing, as in falsifying votes - but manipulating the ability of people to vote. Still, I think it’s better to focus on stopping the damage he’s doing now that he’s in because starting a fight about his legitimacy will become a distraction that allows him to do awful things while people are distracted with that argument - and that plays into his hands.

Proven it becomes another tool to remove the criminal, but I hear ya......it's tiring with Trump.

Yeah, it is important for them to rein in the jerrymandering but that's for future elections. This election is over and done with and the focus for the next four years needs to be controlling and mitigating the damage.

If we were black would it matter more? Are we being flippant and denigrating with others rights? How are we being different than the suppressors by answering, "let's just move on?" Just asking, because I'm white and just tired of Trumps shenanigans....but, if I was black I'd be livid and would want support from everyone.....

I'm not saying the US should move on, I'm saying they need to deal with the root problem that is allowing the GOP to entrench themselves. But refighting 2024 doesn't deal with that. There's other ways to control Trump, including impeachment if he goes too far over the edge, and those are more likely to succeed than a neverending battle over past election results. Save the lawyers' time for fighting jerrymandering and other electoral manipulations. Just realize that removing Trump puts J. D. in power and he may actually be worse in some regards. So anti-Trump campaigns almost need to figure out how to keep him in power but with some boundaries around his power rather than dumping him entirely.

If you can convince simple folk to believe scat ... will they swallow it? It is just normal as many believe anything and everything from the blat of bulls ...

J.D. Vance in power, would have a very up close example of what happens to those who misuse power if Trump and Musk ever got what they deserve.......he would be walking on eggshells, unless he's more stupid than Trump. IMO

The problem is that he's sane enough to actually listen to advisors and extreme enough that the advisors he uses might actually be more dangerous than Trump's. I have a gut feeling that he might be the real far-right extremist in the White House with Trump as just a narcissistic blowhard playing up to that crowd without really thinking it through too much. They really need both of them gone and an actual sane Republican running in 2028. A fiscal conservative who eschews the Christian Nationalist and other extremist positions withing the party in favour of a more traditional GOP platform which, interestingly, would include support for freer trade a la Reagan and the elder Bush.

I was very surprised to learn that one of the most critical voices in the process was actually a republican senator.
So, all is not lost yet.
Cassidy? – a physician, looked like he was a ‘no,’ grilling RFK over his vaccine stance and demanding that Kennedy renounce his "anti" vaccine activism.

Kennedy declined, prompting intense discussions between the two over the weekend.

I’ve had very intense conversations with Bobby and the White House over the weekend and even this morning,” Cassidy said in a statement posted to X before the vote.

“I want to thank VP JD specifically for his honest counsel.

With the serious commitments I’ve received from the administration and the opportunity to make progress on the issues we agree on like healthy foods and a pro-American agenda, I will vote yes.

So, all is not lost yet.

JD is a puppet of the billionaire, Peter Thiel. He's in deep with him and got to where he is because of this relationship. I imagine he's smitten by the other oligarchs as well. The fact JD can present well and can be very articulate makes him scarier. I mean, he can look so reasonable. Of course looks can be deceiving.

And the other option becomes leaving them both in place....either way its scary.

And lets not forget that Mike Johnson, no slouch in the scary department himself and very much a Trump man, is third in the chain of command.

You do know that the roaming militant doesn't give a crap about intelligence ... thus brain drains ... Trump flushed his out ... then Paris has it sewers also ... the other end of the story?
