There is no information about the poll. Did it include people in the remoter villages,? How was it conducted? Do they know what life is like for people in Puerto Rico?

Survey conducted by "Patriot Polling", not exactly Ipsos-Reid. First poll conducted outside of the U.S. for this company. They don't explain how they dealt with language or cultural differences in their survey construction. Their methodology states that a "state-wide target number of surveys", n, should be between 700 and 1000. They polled a country using 416 surveys.

Dear goddes, do look at dates. The article you quote is dated June 2023. So, it's not "now", as in a sequence of events; all it indicates is that Greenland has aspersions to independence.
Irrelevant. the Greenland vote favoring becoming a part of the USA fits nicely with Greenland drafting a constitution pushing for independence from Denmark. Trump is savvy enough to exploit this correlation. So we'll see what happens.

But Greenland's independence would in itself at leastclear the way for the USA to negotiate payment for more and larger military bases in Greenland and for the development of lucrative mining operations, something that would enrich Trump's legacy if he can be a prime mover in that direction.
