I was kind of wondering how many times that has happened before but hadn't got around to looking it up. Who was the first?
My thinking for a long time has been that the White House matters less than Congress in this mess. As long as at least one house was in control of the other party, they could put the brakes on the White House and do some horse trading. Much like a minority government here lets third parties put the brakes on the government and negotiate to get some of their policies implemented. But if the executive and legislative branches are all in the control of the same party and the judicial is heavily stacked in favour of that party, which is the case right now, you've basically got a White House with at least a two year free ride, basically until the next mid-terms.

That's a good question. There is speculation that he will pardon for the federal charges. Apparently the state charges could go through. Still, who is going to prosecute a president elect or a sitting president? It seems unlikely he will be sentenced for his conditions.
It is sad that his criminal record was of no consequence or a badge of honour in some circles.

Is this a good indication of freedom of Western will ... considering that one can do whatever they desire without consequence? Thus responsibility, onus, passe Son ... it goes by! Masses don't even notice ... stoned ... essential addiction? Perhaps the counterpoint or alternate vapor ...

I have said it so many times on this thread ---If God wants him in the Oval office no one or nothing will stop him from winning this election -----
God put him in there Jae for His purpose ---God works through sinners to bring about His good ----The people of this world tried so hard to keep Trump out ----not just him but also to ruin his whole family ----no Man on their own power could have ever withstood the persecution that this man has endured without God's help ------God protected him when the bullets came to take him out ----He was destined to win by God ----and anyone who thinks different is deceiving themselves -----
It will be interesting to see the plans the Democratic party and followers now have to keep him from succeeding ---do they try sending more bullets at him -----Impeach him again ----it will be interesting ----- but it won't matter cause you can't curse what God has blessed to do His work -----

Now I would have thought God holds us more responsible for our worldly decisions.
I thought God would be more concerned that we feed the poor, needy, the persecuted, homeless, take care of widows and welcome strangers.
