Long-Term View:The thread is about TRump and his legacy.
That's the key. "Consequential" just means he had an impact, not that it was a positive one. Hitler was consequential.Consequential, maybe.
That’s what the Nobel prize winner was trying to do too. I get it. I’m still concerned about a quieter version of fascism taking place here - both to appease Trump subtlety without stressing out mainstream voters, and as a means to “fix our problems” in this country. From what I've seen, Carney knows how to deal with someone with a severe personality disorder - appear to flatter and agree, while keeping a calm, unemotional stance. This drives such a person crazy, because they can't get a reaction out of him. The fact the president calls Canada hard to work with and nasty is a complement. The Canadian team is doing something right. There cannot be a deal with the president, or if there is one it has to be a tough process. I lean towards it can't be done.
There is reason to be concerned about Carney. Still he has some skills and experience which may help. He's most certainly not perfect.

Carny is well respected around the world and is often referred to by others as a masterclass negotiator......for instance I really don't believe Trump negotiated the peace in Gaza but others that weren't looking for praise but just wanting to make it stop for the right reasons. I think Trump was helped by other countries, not looking for credit.I have mixed views on him being an economist. On one hand, I think it's good. He brings a ton of experience. On the other, economists often miss the social concerns. I believe he's the far better choice between the two. I'm hoping for the best and keeping my eyes open. He is a different leader than we've had. Time will tell.
The thing is, he wants to turn it into a resort destination with his name everywhere. Will he invest in rebuilding the lives of the families devastated by the war, in any way that is not in his own interest? Will he invest in anything that is not in his own interest? He is well respected around the world and is often referred to by others as a masterclass negotiator......for instance I really don't believe Trump negotiated the peace in Gaza but others that weren't looking for praise but just wanting to make it stop for the right reasons. Trump is a blow hard.....and now wants to invade Argentina for all the proven oil fields located there waiting to be confiscated......even that probably isn't his idea but the "oil barons". He's a puppet for others IMOThe thing is, he wants to turn it into a resort destination with his name everywhere. As long as he gets adulation for it. And if he doesn’t he gets spiteful. Apparently, he can’t help it. Which is sad if it weren’t so dangerous for the whole world.Trump is a blow hard.....and now wants to invade Argentina for all the proven oil fields located there waiting to be confiscated......even that probably isn't his idea but the "oil barons".
