What Legacy Does Trump Leave?

The current president will go down in history as the worst, likely most dangerous president and regime. He will not be leaving a good legacy.

It comes to mind, that, since DJT is serving two disconnected terms, he has the unique possibility (indeed, the probability) of being ranked as the TWO worst "presidents" in history. Consequential, maybe. Competent, not a chance.

Don't know about "weasel". I think they convey a message that Trump and some of his supporters don't have the capacity to understand in the moment, but others pick up on right away.

You’ll hate me for saying I don’t think Carney’s going to do much better for us. He is smart, shrewd, polite, and has an authoritarian bent himself. Well, I suppose “us” is subjective. He’s going to mostly help the upper middle and leave poor people to attrition. And he’s quietly selling us out. Not sure what else he could do, with a guy like Trump.

From what I've seen, Carney knows how to deal with someone with a severe personality disorder - appear to flatter and agree, while keeping a calm, unemotional stance. This drives such a person crazy, because they can't get a reaction out of him. The fact the president calls Canada hard to work with and nasty is a complement. The Canadian team is doing something right. There cannot be a deal with the president, or if there is one it has to be a tough process. I lean towards it can't be done.

There is reason to be concerned about Carney. Still he has some skills and experience which may help. He's most certainly not perfect.

That’s what the Nobel prize winner was trying to do too. I get it. I’m still concerned about a quieter version of fascism taking place here - both to appease Trump subtlety without stressing out mainstream voters, and as a means to “fix our problems” in this country.

Is a blanched out weasel an ermine? Then there was Blanche Dubois as a consequence of love that was deficient on thought ... she had a pre determined place also ... place of roadrunners, cuckoos and other alien birds ... rae-L walkers?

In there lies a sacred item of consequence ... du demons do saith ...

I have mixed views on him being an economist. On one hand, I think it's good. He brings a ton of experience. On the other, economists often miss the social concerns. I believe he's the far better choice between the two. I'm hoping for the best and keeping my eyes open. He is a different leader than we've had. Time will tell.

Trump is ushering in a Technocratic Surveillance State and Mark Carney’s vision for a digitized world—a future where centralized digital currencies, surveillance, and control replace personal freedom lines up with that quite neatly IMO

Carny is well respected around the world and is often referred to by others as a masterclass negotiator......for instance I really don't believe Trump negotiated the peace in Gaza but others that weren't looking for praise but just wanting to make it stop for the right reasons. I think Trump was helped by other countries, not looking for credit.

The thing is, he wants to turn it into a resort destination with his name everywhere. Will he invest in rebuilding the lives of the families devastated by the war, in any way that is not in his own interest? Will he invest in anything that is not in his own interest?

Trump is a blow hard.....and now wants to invade Argentina for all the proven oil fields located there waiting to be confiscated......even that probably isn't his idea but the "oil barons". He's a puppet for others IMO

As long as he gets adulation for it. And if he doesn’t he gets spiteful. Apparently, he can’t help it. Which is sad if it weren’t so dangerous for the whole world.
