You are more hopeful than some, dear Neo.
I'm a huge optimist Bette. I see this whole Trump thing, for instance, as a last ditch attempt to hang on to something that's passing away quickly. The future is going to look back at this time in amazement, knowing that a world will always have terror and suffering if the vast majority of it lives in poverty. No nation is an island anymore.

Sharing is the most fundamental thing we teach our children, yet almost half the world today lives in extreme poverty. This is literally a crime against humanity.

I too feel hopeful rather than indifferent. Maybe because the Emperor really is wearing no clothes. And in the meantime this whole saga has been quite entertaining. Said emperor, at least, has a skillful knack for entertaining. So...I'll accept the hope and happiness gladly, where I find it.

But obviously if the rich people get richer, they will hire more poor people, thereby raising everyone's standard of living. Ronald Reagan taught me that and we all know what a wise, intelligent man he was.:D

Sarcasm, people. Go look it up in the dictionary.

I won't disagree with that. It's just that some quaint saying delivered by a shadowy guy wearing white bedsheets isn't going to be the motivating factor for change.

No, the motivating factor for change needs come from within.

Agreed. And a lot of sages over time have tried to point it out. The more complex life gets - the more that is easier said than done. Or, seems to be. For me anyway. Sharing isn't so much my biggest problem. Not worrying is.

Hi George,

I didn't see this till now. Pretty sure you don't actually have much belief in heaven and hell, but I do. Anyway, my vision of heaven has nothing to do with justice. Jesus delivered no justice. He delivered mercy. Justice is not good news. Mercy is good news.

You are going to find mercy in heaven.

Justice in hell.

In hell one becomes enlightened to what the dark stuff of the Shadow has been trying to get across to you as the lady of consequence ... a drift towards wise con science? Some call this Leviathan as a word taken from Levite scribbles ...to the naïve this may be thick! Like shady indoctrination without prescience ... forethought process?

There's two distinct 'types' of justice. Retributive justice, to which you, PG13, refer. You think of crime and punishment, right and wrong, "judgment". There's another type of justice, a systemic justice - "distributive justice", in which every person is guaranteed "enough". That's the sort of justice to which George, and Jesus, refer.

One comes to this conclusion with empiric and time ... this experience requires some patience for the sick of sol that require conflict and battles to keep them amused beyond their point of thought ... a wee denied thing in light of the rages and rants on the perceived way of life that may be in Eire ... sometimes the spirit of the largest human gonad ... the brain until mellowed by hopeless ness as this cannot be given as learning ... the object must experience knowledge from a distance ... thus obtuse stretches ... especially for those denying sol, psyche and the eternal end of wisdom ... for love of witch "the ALL" was lost and the particulate G-thingy went bazaar as a particle ... in abstract domains! Tis a corrupt imagination ... as all powers can do that ... tis an axiom ... power corrupts so as to bring on nemesis ... thus we are rendered down!

Tis a brilliant terminal condition devised by the unknown ... and you know how determinates feel about in determinate emotions that could turn about and be thought! as becoming beauty in the darkness ... Anna aspiration transmuting the desperation stage as one step at a time? An ID can affect it but not control much ... anti-avarice spot ... well restricted ... pain in the butt for those wishing to be a mindless bo'esse! Psychopathee ...

If one searches simplicity ...one is soon sol fully lost ...thus denial of process theology, dei-sology and other soliloquy, hard to explain stuff as singularities to the numbed by excess desire ... this goes on aD continuum, to keep them out of alternate heaven ... one must talk this over thoroughly with thy's elf ... to understand the demonology of dark's crypt ... tis deep understanding despised by shallow dictators of indoctrination ... there are voids and rifts in the process ... sacred escape paths that some call the pits of sol ... very scary when you consider the discards ... the curios adepts?

You can almost see how this goes round ... cranked!

I stumbled over a great comparison of sympathy and empathy on the internet the other day ... something about pain spoken of and the pain of others that is ignored ... even though in the long run the deficient in the whole thing affects ALL ... literarily it is ingenious ... and hidden ... justly for the hajii ... sometimes know as partaken by pilgrims ... John Wayne's associates ...

The last act of Jesus before being crucified was the act of sharing at the last supper. It will, I believe, be the simplistic answer to our world problems. All it takes is heart felt empathy to our fellow human being.

Not sure if that is to be considered the "last act" as there was much more that occurred afterwards on the way to the cross.

Much of which was reacting to event and circumstances. The last planned act was certainly the Last Supper.
