A fully globalized world is not necessarily a good thing. SF is full of globalized futures where a rump government or governments are under the thumb of corporations. And a imagine a world government where a Trump or Erdogan gets power. At least with a federated system of nations holding the real power but working under an umbrella like the UN, the damage from a bad government can be contained.

I first heard about the Illuminati through a card game of that name. Great fun but definitely makes it hard to take the thing seriously. I mean, when you're sitting around talking about the Gnomes of Zurich taking Fnord Motors from The Bavarian Illuminati, you tend to laugh more than you shudder.

I just looked up the definition of Globalism and I see where you're coming from. Sorry, I wasn't thinking about this definition when I first read your post this afternoon. I do see, however, the world acting and thinking as one, but not on an ideology based on economics. I see our strength coming from the recognition and the respect of our differences, but any common ideology we may share must be based on goodwill towards everyone, despite our ideologies, religions, creed or our monetary status.

GordW ----your quote to airclean33 ----...I mean there are multiple authors (all of whom may well have been inspired by their experience of God). ANd so there are multiple, and not always consistent, versions of stories and events.

You have every right to believe as you like but as far as interpretation of scriptures go without the Holy Spirit all are interpreting scripture through the natural mans lens ----their own intellect -----Scripture needs a Spiritual lens to see clearly what scripture is actually saying and to provide the true meaning ------and that lens is the Holy Spirit ------

All Ministers preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ should have the Holy Spirit indwelling in them -----that should be mandatory as it should be for all who teach ministers to be ministers in my opinion ---- If the Minister does not believe in the indwelling of the Holy Spirit to preach God's word he should not be allowed to preach in my opinion -----as they are preaching another Gospel ---their own ---- not the one Directed by God ------

Interestingly enough, though, the "correct" lens leads one to believe exactly as do blackbelt and unsafe. What if you two disagree on something? Who has the "wrong" lens in that case?
