Was Jesus forever cutting and pasting scripture to reveal the grace of God? Not at all. The scripture came alive in Jesus. Remember the synagogue in Nazareth when the religious folk wanted to push him off a cliff? Why? Because he put obedience to the Holy Spirit of God ahead of obedience to Ciaphas and Herod. He presented himself as the word of God.

God inspired the many authors of the Christian holy book. The God whose Spirit is like the wind is not held captive in that book. It is that spirit which animates my finger to express these thoughts related to the living word by which my being in the world is governed.

--Hi GeoFee--Yes I have sense of humour, You are not saying GOD is only Joking are you? I think you should read Unsafes post just above yours. I believe she posted it right. I also believe Jesus used Scripture many time's. Like as it was in the day of Noah.

--Here you and I can be in agreement. GeoFee many here have made jokes at my expense . I laugh with them as I see my mistake. But I very seldom make fun , if when some one is saying something about the word of GOD" that just seems wrong. It's just to important". Yes George I agree we here are friends and neighbours . airclean33- Gord.

The subject of Francis’ homily at the daily Mass was hypocrisy. He criticized the “scandal” of “saying one thing and doing another.”

Many of these hypocrites, Francis implied, according to the Vatican’s text of his homily, are Catholics who act rigorously in their ritual observance but don’t apply the religion’s values to their lives. “A totally double life: ‘I am very Catholic, I always go to Mass, I belong to this association and that one; but my life is not Christian, I don’t pay my workers a just wage, I exploit people, I am dirty in my business, I launder money ...’ A double life. And so many Christians are like this, and these people scandalize others.”

He then quoted a sentiment that he said he has heard expressed repeatedly: “But to be a Catholic like that, it’s better to be an atheist.”

Francis has surprised Catholics before with his warmth toward atheists. He remarked soon after becoming pope that even atheists can go to heaven thanks to the redemption of Jesus. He granted an interview to an atheist journalist, and told the reporter that efforts to convert people to Christianity are “solemn nonsense” and each person “must choose to follow the good and fight evil as he conceives them.”

This is one area where Francis is surprisingly enlightened. That fact that he considers hypocrisy by the faithful more of a concern than lack of faith speak volumes about his attitude relative to some of his recent predecessors.
 
A good lie can lead to success and wealth ... some old proverb! (I forget where).

Now if we only knew where psyche and wisdom were laid out ... we could enthusiastically honour the dead ... in this insane world even the Pope has receded into that background wisdom ...

A lot of Popes were simply into partying with the balance of the wealth and powers ...

Pope Innocent, is that an oxymoron?
 
Francis is a Globalist.
Globalists are convicted that this planet will be transformed into a great progressive utopia by bringing in a 'New World Order'.

I am not a Globalist.
I am convinced that the 'New World Order' will bring about the greatest tyranny that humanity has ever experienced.

God is opening the path wide to great deception ... I did not expect that!

Thus the ignorance of isolation ... the realm of "μν" ... Greek symbol or icon of isolationism in the Mace aD oniony empire ... led to communication that allowed people to ignore what was essential ... the other! An abstract theology to the powerfully enlightened ... in Hebrew this is Jude'n vs the Samis ... aria tan space? Work with word as God is imp eri'd I've grasp !

Utopia as good for everyone ... is still beyond dust!

Deception? Really, I thought we were deceived from the get go What is wrong with a little deception amongst friends.
 
It was that lass under the tree that diverted the Jude'n power earlier known a Judea .. as an initial screw up leading on to the chains of time demonstrative in Mar Lies image in the Christmas Carol ... sort of like the marl under the English channel ... limestone? Is the Pope living a double life by ignoring pedephilia within the ranks without criminal repercussions? Is the Vatican profiting off of it's followers, a double life? Does the Catholic church suppress women in the church? launder money...is that a double life? and on and on and on.......
Good Grief, I'm sure the Pope is a nice man, but is he blind to his own circumstances?

I think he is fully aware of them. An aircraft carrier cannot turn on a dime and RCC is the Christian equivalent. I imagine it will take 2 or 3 progressive popes to seriously remake the church and there is no guarantee the cardinals will even want another one after the hornet's nest he's been stirring up among traditionalists. And I think Francis is very aware of that reality.

I agree. And would go further to say that this Pope is great a Pope, one for the people. A refreshing change.
