Around the same time Prime Minister Trudeau enjoyed lunch with French President François Hollande, police tear gassed climate activists who broke a prohibition against street protests the Sunday afternoon before the United Nations COP21 climate summit.

Some 200 people were arrested and some journalists were sprayed in the face.

"I was on the street to fight against global warming," Parisian Arthur Levivier told the National Observer. "We've had a few attacks of terrorist attacks, and the French government used this as an opportunity to fight against activism. Now they are calling green activism terrorism."

The French government banned public protests, saying they represent security risks in the wake of recent terrorist attacks that killed 130 people in restaurants, cafes and a national stadium soccer match. Paris is hosting the arrival of 147 world leaders

What were you expecting to hear? I'm glad to hear we're into co-operating again, because it sure didn't feel like it under the last admin.

Did you really expect the newly elected Prime Minister, from the centrist Liberal Party, was going to announce some sort of maverick anarchy?
 
We're stuck on this planet for as long as we're here - they're trying to do something to clean it up. It's a better effort than we've seen in awhile. I believe they don't have nefarious intentions in this effort to clean up greenhouse gasses - just a very tangled web that humanity has woven over centuries, to attempt to untangle. I'd rather they have endless summit meetings than wars. They are not going to do it your way, whatever that is. I don't know what you propose that is any better, that would be good for everyone, overnight. You have to make peace with that or it'll drive you nuts. There's nothing you can do about it, except live your life in your little corner of the world as best you can - which, you seem to have a knack for energy efficient living, by what you've shown us/ told us. Hope for the best. And there is no specific answer to the question of everything.

It seems that if even a small percentage of the ruling class - renowned scientists, supreme judges, corporate leaders, bankers, academics, generals, media executives, senators, congressmen, queens, kings, presidents and yes sometimes even prime ministers - are liars and deceivers, and are ruthless, callous manipulators who have no regard for truth or other people ... the entire fabric of society is twisted in their image ... and psychopathic behavior becomes the norm.

I am sorry that you do not appreciate my pointing out that it is so ... to me it is clear that this world order has not been administered by caring 'love-one-another' humans being ... but has been constitued and is being controlled by powerful hollow soulless individuals.

Now ... despite the violence, suffering and chaos the masters of the new world order have caused ... you implore me sit back and applaud their agenda to remain at the top, and in control?

Does that absolve me of a responsibility to my very human grandson to resist the inevitable outcome ... the extinction of humanity? I do not enjoy the licensed privilege of being Canadian and not North Korean. I do not accept my license imposed privileges as a waiver on my birth rights ... I cry myself to sleep every night because I am not courageous enough to throw away my 'legal personhood' and 'Follow The Way of Jesus' ...but I am working on it. In the meantime I do not vote and I do not pledge allegiance to a country or a queen ... sue me if you have to ... thy will be done or THY WILL BE DONE?
