Well, there are Muslims who follow the Koran, who I would consider to be Muslims, and there are Muslims who do not follow the Koran, or even know anything about it. I would not consider them Muslims.

Look, he actually has a chance. His main stumbling block to the nomination is that he is no one's second choice. As people drop out, support should gather for one of his opponents. But if they are too split...or Trump just plain gets more people out...he could be the Republican nominee.

To suggest it couldn't happen, or that polls are not accurate, is to engage in wishful thinking. Trump has tapped into a bigotry that Fox and the GOP have been encouraging for years. Now it's out of control. They created a monster. Trump is trying to ride that monster to victory.

Can he? Every time we think he's gone too far, polls say otherwise. He keeps gauging public opinion better than anyone else. Everyone else gives the American public too much credit. Trump thinks they are knee-jerk racists, and he may be right. This race is telling us a lot about Donald Trump that is troubling, but even more troubling is what we're learning about Americans.

His voters are mainly middle aged white males. But they do not represent a majority of people in the US once you combine all the groups he has made bigoted remarks about. I am very skeptical that the polls tell us about "real Americans". He may be attracting the knee jerk racists and other bigots but they do not speak for the majority of Americans. Particularly those who are not middle aged white males - that's the bulk of Trump's base. Sane voices will mobilize against him. I hope. This is the country that brought us the civil rights movement. I think we can extend them some credit for knowing a threat to their basic rights when they see one. And, once the media stops presenting him in a circus side show entertainment light and says, "this guy's dangerous", and stops laughing along - that's a big mistake at this point, as he's totally unflappable to mocking, he loves any attention - it'll sink in. They need to change how they present him. It will make a difference. Stop treating him like the boss on the Apprentice, and a celebrity. stop inviting him on entertainment talk shows, or any political shows. Don't invite him back to SNL or late night TV. Don't give him the attention he wants. Ariana Huffington posted a statement saying at first Huffington Post was only covering him on the entertainment page, but enough is enough, and he is going to be covered critically now. Maybe they should stop covering him at all, except for the actual debates, and even his base will forget about him.

Boston Globe has actually suggested the same thing...don't give him airtime to promote his agenda. It's a good article. The writer says he's got a far outside chance of being elected in the Republican primary and - if he did - even "Dick Cheney would hold his nose and vote Democrat".

I think calling ISIS true Muslims is akin to calling the KKK true Christians. I wouldn't make that leap but apparently you have no problem with doing so with Muslims. I also wouldn't be so arrogant as calling Trump a true Christian or even you for that matter.

Vancouver, Toronto...he has buildings and business everywhere. But, what I meant was, as an international businessman, that's been part of his appeal - that he will handle himself like a businessman if he's a president. Pretty hard to do business in the UK if they ban him from the country, for example. This just damages his credibility even further.

PG-13, you're either ignorant or a bigot. I'll try and give you credit for the former. Islam is every bit as nuanced as Christianity. Just as it's quite possible to describe both you and I as Christians (also the Pope and the KKK), it is also quite possible to describe all of: my neighbour Steve, Irshad Manjii, Reza Aslan, a member of ISIL - as Muslims.

I am being rational by suggesting that even if there's a slim chance he could win, equal attention needs to be paid to the ways and reasons he could not win. News networks could spin him any way they want and still get ratings. If they vilified him they would still get ratings. I just think they shouldn't give him attention, especially not as entertainment. But, I am no less rational about this than what the Boston Globe writer suggested - do not give him the attention he craves.

Yes, he has some white female voters. But most sources describe his base as being predominantly middle aged, white, working class males. He will have a miniscule number of voters from the groups he's lobbed hateful insults at - an even smaller pool in the coming weeks. I think this was the last straw for people who have been patiently waiting for what they thought was a circus show to fizzle out.

I don't think you're being rational by underestimating the power of racial minorities in the U.S. to stand up for civil rights when it's critical. It's a trait I admire about Americans. I believe they can, and will do their darnedest, to mobilize the vote against him.

The Whitehouse press secretary says his campaign pitch (and bigoted position) threatens security, and Congress is discussing whether or not it actually goes as far as to disqualify him from the presidency. It's quite something that both the Democrats, the Republicans, the Whitehouse itself and foreign leaders have denounced him. He's been called a fascist by various sources. I think the tide's going to turn soon.
