TRUMP - Some people think......... How do you feel?

Today, in Korea, was a historic day. If Trump helped that, then kudos. I'll take whatever good there might be in all the bad, I suppose. Until they elect someone else.

Great day in Korea. Exciting times there.

After Trump comes Pence.

Yeah. Not sure he's better.

The thing with Trump is, everyone on the left is focused on how stupid he is instead of staying a step ahead of him - and that's how he's played it all along. I mean, who knew a bunch of young alt-right 4chan internet trolls who like frog cartoons (before we even knew what alt-right was), would help get him elected? Additionally, who knew that anyone really actually took Alex Jones seriously, or just how big his following was?! This was all flying under the radar of the average person.

Laughing at his absurdity, along with the late night hosts, helps keep me sane - but the fact is, he's still at his long-con, which he's apparently good at.

Increasingly, the U.S. will be losing its influence and foothold in Asia. And that is certainly not Trump's intention. The U.S. wants to own Asia's trade. The opposite is happening.

American capitalists have lusted for control of the Asia trade, especially China, for over a century. The agreement between the Koreas is a defeat for U.S. capitalism. It's major foothold now is Japan.

British capitalists made staggering fortunes out of exploiting China. Giving up Hong Kong, it's major base of the China trade, was a terrible loss for British capitalists. They had made huge fortunes out of it, largely on the backs of the Chinese. While in Hong Kong, I got to know the British governor's right hand men, a very arrogant British type with nothing but contempt for the Chinese. And he was a standard, British type.

China now will be forcing the the U.S. navy to back off its intrusions.

We are watching the decline of a very evil empire.

He knew how to play them to a "T" let's say.

Can't argue with that though there are caveats. He preyed upon the desperate who rightly wonder why their politicians cannot accomplish more for them.

Partisan politics makes that easier

I think we ought to keep in mind that he is diabolically smart.

I disagree. The man is fantastically transparent. He doesn't deserve any credit for continually exposing the wilful blindness of his genuine support.

Yeah. Just like we need to credit everyone who flew headfirst through a windshield for seatbelts.

Trump showed up looking to blow something up. Any movement towards peace is an attempt to escape his lunacy.

Which is why the US is being marginalized in the actual process. Won't stop 45 from claiming to be the architect.

Well, he IS the 'one' who 'saved' all those Carrier jobs in Indiana before he was even in office.
You know, all those jobs that have since relocated to Mexico?

No, Russia had a troll army headquarters (a room full of people on computers paid to propagandize) - if anything, they were part of the effort to spread memes etc. and get unwitting others, young men in the US to do the same. They also targeted facebook.

Piles more and him-aro-id to question ... as pain in what?

Of course Russia had propagandists. So does the US and Britain and France and Syria and Israel......
Having a roomful of trolls does not mean that Russia set this up.

So many props ... like a Shakespearean staged item ... all an act ... for Lord Acton to make his comment on corruption ... at tops that'd be "it" or as ET something to be consumed ...

I wonder what will come of the meeting between north and South Korea

We have been here before so time will tell. I don’t feel too optimistic about it

It actually happened already. Lots of diplomatic language and symbolic gestures but no actual signed agreements or anything. To get a nuclear deal, they need the US on side so Graeme's concerns are well founded. We do seem to be closer to a final end to the Korean war than at any previous time I can recall, but I will believe it when it happens. There's too much that could go wrong.

yes. There is a reason why the U.S. kept troops in South Korea for all these years, a reason why it has held provocative military exercises over all that time, a reason why it has imposed brutal economic sanctions on North Korea. (And a reason why Canada is now going to take part in sending its air force to track Chinese ships carrying goods to South Korea.)

Control of the China market is a capitalists' dream. Britain just loved it. I don't think it can be done. But greed beats brains every time. As well, it not possible to know whether Trump is in control on this. Even if he is, he could insist on some impossible conditions.
