That seems fair since the memo at best interprets other documents. Everyone should be allowed to see the source material so they can draw their own conclusions.

Thanks for sharing the link. I followed links embedded in the article to the transcripts of the House Intelligence Committee meeting and was really quite surprised at the deliberate partisan manipulation.
Without wanting to bog down a Trump thread with UCCAN practices I can say that it is our practice, no matter which court is issuing a report for the wider Church that if there be participants in the committee responsible for the report who disagree with the conclusions of the report they are permitted the opportunity to provide letters of dissent which are always included in the final report.
The biggest and most memorable examples were the report prepared for General Council in 1988 and most recently the findings of the Conference Interview Board with respect to The Reverend Vosper. The dissent, while contained to a minority of members in both cases was still respected and honoured and included in the final reports even though it was obvious that divided opinion would make the larger discussion much more difficult.
That the Majority Chair promised the minority Chair that certain motions would be permitted it was very clear from the record of discussion involved that there was no chance that the motions put forward at the request of the minority chair would receive critical reflection and fair consideration. It was partisan political theatre and it reveals bad faith action on the part of the Majority Chair.
Solomon offers a fine example of the character manifest in Herod. A deal maker adept at the securing of political advantage. A user of God’s name in service to personal gain. Quite contrary to what God shows us in the words and deeds of Jesus.
