King David ?
He occupies a big spot in the Hebrew scriptures and in their history.
He was a shepherd, musician, song writer. He wrote the Psalms - not all of them, possibly not many of them - some predate him, others were obviously written during the period of exile (By the rivers of Babylon ...) I enjoy many of the Psalms, not because they are 'the word of God' but because they reflect universal feelings of awe, fear, love, beauty, trust - just as some modern music does.
After serving the king. and falling in love with the king's son, David lead a long but eventually successful rebellion against the king and was crowned king himself.
He married seven different women. (I don't think he murdered any of them, but he arranged to have one (likely two) husbands killed). Six of these women bore him sons (and probably daughters, although only one daughter is mentioned). One big happy family? - one son raped his half-sister, her brother murdered him -- some rebelled, some were killed, and Solomon rose to the top - partly by scheming and ruthlessness, and partly by being the son of the last and favourite wife. Solomon quickly disposed of his rival brothers.
But during his long reign the nation prospered - and history is kind to the winners. David was (and is) remembered as a great king.

The Hebrews as imaginary people n the page appreciated dau ID ian humour off the imaginary vessel of mind ... Pot a' ferrous ... kind 've ironic in some traditions of metaphor ... some times people get that feeling of ... bin 'ere before! The pit Y's encountered ... are Eire ... or rare as a Celtic phlegmatic humour as you see them spitting it out ...

Possibly a cereus blunder on the part of higher powers ... supported from below for the purpose of under standing ... an inner operative as dae-monic (Monis in some Latinized forms presented in Divin' chi art form)! Some expansion on the redaction may be prerequisite as prescience ...

I am in awe that Christians, after two thousand years of development, are the world's biggest killers - living in the world's greediest societies. I am in awe that Christian clergy bless the killers. I am in awe that Christians accept the wealthiest and the greediest as leaders of their countries. I am in awe that major Christian countries permit the miracle of healing only if the private sector can make money out of it. If Jesus were to appear in the U.S. today to heal people, the pharmaceutical and medical industries would sue Him for interference with trade.

I am in awe that you don't also see the good that is occurring in the world.

The insanity of modern Christianity is awesome right/rite? Thus the rite stuck ...

I see churches which ignore the evil. Is there some good? Of course. But, certainly, our economic systems have very little to do with the good. Nor is there a whole lot of good in our political systems. And the churches, at best, are silent.

Babylon provides an instructive metaphor. Pride animating the erection of a tower into the high places. Good progress for a fair way. Then the crisis of language. Every one talking and no one being heard. Generation of conflict impeding the project. Distraction and diversion. Conflict and the rise of chaos. The ascendency of power and the subjugation of liberty.

Economies have risen and fallen through the ages. The pattern is plain to see. By reference to the pattern we locate ourselves in history. The ending of our globalizing civilization is in view. What are the options? Sticking our heads in the sand will hinder and not help.

God have mercy on us all!

So about these wiretapping lies, the white house has now had to apologize to the UK because of Trumps accusations and now they are asking Trump or the White House to apologize to Obama.

So my question is this....If Trump took the position of President under oath, should this be considered plagiarizing, lying under oath, which is a criminal offence? Anyone know?

We live in a world in which nuclear confrontation becomes every day more likely. - a world in which governments are controlled by the greed of the very wealthy, in which the U.S. is going to avoid helping 20 million people who are dying of a starvation inflicted by they U.S.
And the issue that concerns you is that Donald Trump tells lies?

And the Romans started the rumour that aD'mists are not important as wee populations (that's eM) of unseen space ... Sem being a forerunner of Semitic signs ... icons of things to come into thought? That aD'mism collapsed is said to be a shem by some observers ... or alternately humbling for those that follow in the know ...

Yes and not only him, his administration. It concerns me when any government at any time in history has told lies, right from the beginning of time. It's lies that has gotten us into wars in the first place. So yes lies should concern everyone.
Lies are manipulative tools that can and have led us into conflicts when no conflict existed and should never have been responded to as a pre emptive measure, and it will probably be lies that will egg us on to thinking that North Korea should be nuked someday. If not North Korea, then some other nation that dares to speak out against the US or fails to follow it's mandates. The US tests missiles all the time, has the largest stock pile of them, yet dares to speak out against other nations having and testing them. If they want to be the voice of reason they need to stop being two faced and get rid of their own arsenal and stop providing the materials to other nations to build them.

The cause of that is not Trump. That has been the policy of every president since 1945. And they have all lied. It's a mistake to get obsessed with Trump's personality. He is following in the footsteps of most presidents.

He is the one that is centre stage now.....we can only go from here.

Of course, we have to deal with Trump. But we have to remember that all this is not caused by Trump's personality. The U.S. has murdered a good 20 million people since 1945. It's about to kill another 20 million in the next couple of years. What rant about Trump? Why get obsessed with him? obviously, he is not the sole or even the main cause of what's happening.

And you don''t start with centre stage. You study the history and the whole pattern of what's going on. To think we can 'go only from there' is bad logic.

We are not able to accumulate full knowledge, most of it was classified. We can gather history, but it is only what we have been allowed to know. Even now we are being fed information, perhaps what is happening is creating some sort of revelation and will wake us all up.
