Does Obama not have the power to interfere with a foreign spy operation that was tinkering with the media and subverting the elections? Is that not grounds to reschedule the election as a crisis intervention? I am sure there is a law somewhere that would allow him to do that...but I do not know enough about US constitutional law. I mean, now there's talk of impeachment shortly after Trump takes office. Seems to me, if there are enough grounds for impeachment - maybe more than Nixon and Bill Clinton combined (working with a foreign adversarial power to subvert an election is one of a big one, if true - so is holding so many business dealings with a country that the U.S.has sanctioned - not to mention him keeping his business in the family and appointing family to top positions, that can't be constitutional). If all the warning flags were there it seems to me there must be due process to prevent it prior to the election rather than wait to wade through potential impeachment.
No. Obama doesn't have that power. And Trump isn't going to be impeached. Who's going to impeach him? The Republicans control both houses of Congress and for the president's own party to impeach him they'd need a lot more than there is now. Trump being impeached (unless a lot more comes up than already has) is as likely as your belief that the electoral college would choose someone else.
