Hillary did NOT keep at arms length from billionaires. Here entire, personal fortune of many millions is made up of gifts from billlionaires. And she had far, far more the most money for the election campaign - all of it from rich buddies.
Billionaires "try" to influence a president? In fact, they have OWNED almost every president going back at least in the nineteeth century.
The US empire is over. It can still do lots of destruction. But the society has collapsed. That's the meaning of the vote for Trump.
 
We'll see what happens, I guess. Still a month plus - he's not officially president yet.

If Obama had made a big stink about Russian influence during the campaigns he would've been accused of interfering. Hillary did point it out but was ignored. I think he let the chips fall where they may and is now in the process of figuring out (or pointing out) how they were thrown down. He has support on both sides of the aisle.

I really don't think Hillary is nearly as sinister as she was made out to be, and Trump is scarier.

If the vote was stolen or manipulated nafariously, society hasn't collapsed it has been manipulated. I read that either Hillary won more, or Trump lost more...can't remember which order...more of the popular vote than any presidential candidate in history. That means something is wrong with the electoral system, not that society has collapsed completely. Yet. The majority popular vote was still cast by somewhat reasonable people. They're smart enough to repair this.

Kimmio - it collapsed a long time ago. The US is owned and governed by billionaires The general population have no role whatever in the running of the place. The points you site have nothing to do with what I'm talking about.
 
That was a good little discussion. We are all too sheltered in our own opinions. We seek out like minded individuals.

Scariest thing i read a couple of years ago was a new york law school not teaching sexual assault and rape law. Cause it "triggered " women in the class.

If people have to be protected from every different idea then we really are creating snowflakes

Here, the teacher in BC is a similar story. In teaching a grade 12 law class, he says that sometimes our personal moral values dont agree with the laws. He cites not stopping on a deserted street, even though you know its the law. He mentions he thinks abortion is wrong but it is the law.. A girls is in tears and subsequently he is fired. ( of course for someone teaching law he should know that in fact we dont have a law about abortion, )

Now i have to believe that there is likely more going on than we know. Hey perhaps the child has had an abortion and and is sensitive...... Perhaps he is known for being a jerk, though it didnt sound like it

But it is snowflake syndrome. Hear something you dont like, Create a dialigue, explore the reasons. Dont cry

There is tons of info to back up Trump's claim that Hillary should be in jail.

Available to anybody, long before anything from Podesta's emails turned up. If you only listen to MSM, you have no idea what that revealed either.

Lots of dead bodies. Trump brings you the First 1st Lady who anybody who wants to can check out what she looks like naked. How liberal is that? If you think "Grab her by the p***y" comes close to putting the most corrupt crime family in the White House on the moral scale????

I was just down in California at a party of 40-50 people. I had it in mind not to bring up their politics as an outsider. It was openly spoken of though. I would say that


close to half were Trump supporters. Many Hispanic and Philipinos voted for Trump. In LA.
 
All I have to do is listen to two minutes of what came out of Trump's very own mouth - no digging for conspiracies - and wonder how he could be elected by any minorities. I am serious. I am no idiot either. And I think the majority of people in the world are wondering the same thing. I wonder how ANYBODY thought that guy would be suited to be POTUS...so to stick it to the Clintons they would elect the worst choice ever? Anybody! Listen to two minutes and it's plainly obvious. He must be a hypnotist or something.

We all listen to that same news, of everybody who is on WC2, you are the only person who has bought it completely.
 
No actually. I am not talking about interpretations. I am talking about his own words at his own rallies...the wall, Mexicans are rapists and criminals, he said. He lied about stats...oh and that little bit of "guy talk" on the bus. Yes, I know there are guys who talk like that - and maybe some of it is just talk- but I really wish they were not running the world. And the disabled reporter. He cannot wiggle out of that and say that's not what he meant. That is EXACTLY how I was mocked in elementary school. I know he lied about not meaning it. I forgive the elementary school kids past mistakes but he's 70 years old. Grow up. He should not be POTUS. It was a mistake to elect someone with his mentality.
 
Bought what completely Pontifex? You're possibly the only one who's bought Trump completely. I doubt even Jae really has. I am hoping you, and my dad, are just pretending he's the right choice - somewhere in your heart you know better - the way kids side with the bully in high school to protect themslves. That's forgivable to a degree. And that is why politicians will try to work with him rather than upset him for the next 4 years. And maybe it'll be ok. But I still think he was the worst possible option.

You shouldn't be afraid to listen to a differing point of view. The people who told you Hillary would win in a landslide lied to you. Obviously you have chosen not to look at the evidence I present.

It is not UFO type fake news. But don't pop your bubble on my account. Reality is out there for anyone who is looking.
 
Yeah, the reality is that the American vote appears to have been influenced by Russian manipulations.

The other reality is that Graeme is largely right - who got chosen was more window decoration for global coporations than anything else.
