"The best is the enemy of the good" --- Voltaire!

What does that say for the greatest images of politicians ... other than to indicate some floss might be a come down like Neigh MS's! Accept it the abstract is the chosen crack at getting out of literal existence for your literary health --- Don Nutbeam (best seen out of the sun or in light of de Moe'n man while bathing in the rye). It is a sensual scene no matter how dreamed and may cause whetting appetites!

Then Voltaire was always shocking to some folks as a bolt out of the dark! May drive the psychopathic towards insanity ...

Our leader is doing what the health experts recommend because his wife is positive for corona. I have no doubt you would criticize him for spreading it if he went about his normal routine. The president had info about this months ago and is only now acting on it. Likely only because of strong pressure from his advisors. His actions likely have caused more problems. That is hardly wise leadership.

Not my leader.

Did the health experts recommend that in this Novel Time of Corona ...

That 'leaders wives' should continue on their flight paths abroad as necessary in order to make appearances for appearances sake at

British celebrity star-studded youth-oriented charity events with 12,000 people in attendance?

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's wife 'reported' what officials call "mild flu-like symptoms" Wednesday night.

She flew to London to attend a WE Day gathering with her daughter, Ella-Grace, and her mother-in-law, Margaret Trudeau on March 4.

The Prime Minister's Office issued a statement late Thursday 'alleging' that she has COVID-19.

"Following medical advice, she will remain in isolation for the time being," it (the office that talks) said.

"She is feeling well, is taking all the recommended precautions and her symptoms remain mild."

Wow ... what a sacrifice these leaders have to make for our protection.

I'm not sure what point you're making @Ritafee. She travelled before the restrictions and real knowledge that travelling was not recommended. Was that wise, probably not. We're all struggling with how to respond on some level. Perhaps she is a good example of why we need to settle in a bit. Not totally isolate, just not travel widely.

Whether you or I like him or not, Trudeau is our PM, and therefore our leader. At least in the sense that he is a significant face for Canada. He's not my first choice either. He is what we have.

I'm thankful people are doing what Sophie is doing. She may have mild symptoms. The person she could infect might not be so lucky

Yet liberals and conservationists are divided as tomorrow ... some are sure id'll come and others have doubts!

Schlitz oid ...

The prime minister and his cabinet swear an oath of allegiance to the Queen of England, "her heirs and successors," and not the people of Canada who 'allegedly' elected them.

And now of course you will tell me that I must suppose that the oath is merely symbolic.

In reality PM's of Canada are merely the “first” minister in a hierarchy of British bureaucracy controlling Canada.

Under this construct, the prime minister is ultimately responsible to the British monarchy not the people of Canada.

l did not swear an allegiance to a rich old lady in another country - did you?

Ironically The crown is the symbol of Canada and The coronavirus' crown-like spikes give the virus family its name.

Sovereignty is with the crown and it’s a concept that forms the basis of our whole system of government.

The Canadian Oath of Citizenship still forces new citizens to swear an allegiance to the monarch?

I have never pledged my loyalty to a particular political theory ... so no ... Justin Trudeau is just another ward of the court to me ... he does as he is told and keeps his position of privilege at the rest of our expense ... but not with my consent.

Our constitution clearly says we are a monarchy, so why not? Technically, we should all be pledging allegiance to the Crown. Mercifully, we don't and the protection of free speech in the Charter means I and others can talk about becoming a republic without fear of official reprisal. Even immigrants can do so, oath or not.

Who cares at this point. That's not the issue. The issue is that as PM he is doing the responsible thing and is self-isolating. Judge all you want from your lofty chair. The fact is, our public health professionals have made recommendations about how to prevent this virus from spreading more than necessary. Is it an evil plot? Who knows. Only time will tell.

Is it an evil plot? Comrade Trumpsky seemed to think so. Not that long ago he called COVID-19 a hoax, then called it a Democrat plot to besmirch his name. Even today he seemed more concerned about its effects on the stock markets than its effects on actual people. What a maroon.

Moscow must be proud.

Trump is finally being tested for the COVID 19 virus after being in contact with 3 dignitaries that have it. Results not in yet.

Results were released tonight. He's clean.

Not that long ago he called COVID-19 a hoax

Okay, I've corrected this once up-thread already. If you actually read the statement in question, he never called the virus itself a hoax, only the Democrat's contention that his government, and therefore the USA, wasn't ready for it. I don't normally defend Trump, but he says enough stupid s**t that misquoting him is unnecessary.

With freedom of belief ... can a person believe whatever hoax they wish ... without reason and facts to stand against it?

In some complex systems this might cause counter stresses ... are POTUS*s characters built to resist such demiurges (like conjoined emotional intellectual expressions) ?

The stuff I'm told we should be knowledgeable about as it causes dizzying concerns ...

Trump's reportedly a germaphobe. Someone joked that if there are test kit shortages, it's probably because he was getting tested every 5 minutes after being exposed.

I don't think we can count on a straight answer from him on anything. But I'm glad he isn't sick. I don't wish it on anyone.
