TRUMP - Some people think......... How do you feel?

Why are so many people discussing personalities rather than issues? I could, I think, argue that Trump would make a bad president because his hair looks silly. But that surely isn't an election issue. What are the issues? Does anybody know?

Eire issues are always a concern in extremes of the greater SOL ... why we're down here and rational thought is off somewhere unknown and unseen to humans that are instituted! Consider the had syndrome and how it attaches to the Copenhagen, or Stockholm Syndrome ... where the poor haunting lass lives in a shack ... as chi as a spark is fearful of moving. It does sometimes have an impact when she busts out and what little we know goes on an unseen record out of here as the pits!

Sometimes you can see it in the wee clam ladies I'z as she is approaching a critical point of leaving ... a mental crisis of burst of unbelievable actions? It can lead to grass roots roles ... and metaphorical songs ... bell aids ... as one armed ... Hahns? In Syrilli ache this may transpose to Jahn or John as in Semitic transfer there are no vow eLs carried through ... thus con son antes!

It is a literal chaos ... or literary device promoting different ways of processing what we don't yet know ... la Zae characters contribute while on the beaches of me ditterea ... some say diarrhea of the mined ... thye believe knowledge in others to be small concern ... chitty?

Dante even had an icon of us creeping out of here ... appeared like a vor TX reaching down here from outside what we imagine ... fun L clouds?

That's a good point Graeme. That being said, perhaps the fact that Trump's personality is so over the top, and his temperament is variable (to be nice) is reason for this.At least part of the reason anyway. Do we know what his policies actually are? He seems to be in it for the glory, as one more challenge to conquer.

It is all about avarice ... the extreme need to control ... research the word !

I think, generally speaking, the American public know what the talking points are: abortion, immigration, foreign policy, tax policy, health care. An educated voter could presumably ferret out their preferences via the respective party's web sites, or even a "where do you stand" poll, of which there are, presumably, several to choose.

That said, many American voters seem to be moved more largely by emotion, specifically, that generated by those awful attack ads, which are ubiquitous.

Stir the sewers and sours of the human brain and you get PEWS ... Pierre Burton! Does pedantry stink to most who wish not to know much about miss try? That'd be like that coy oude hoo(wo') m'n ... if dealing with the ugly one ... be respectful chi can bite yah ... ether sects can be like that ...

You did know that neural tissue is made of some strange variety of mitochondrial fatty acids ... alien sour state? Really smells when rotten ... and I've met some real rotten processers ... sometimes you get eL aura when downwind of institutions ...

@graeme - because no matter what the issues are (and Hillary knows better what they are she just has had to compete with a megalomaniac TV personality and his 'style' over substance) - no matter what the issues are, personality matters. Trump told a bold faced lie - then he asked people to study what happened re: the protester. I did that. He is telling the world that he is proud to be a liar. He has a dangerous temperament. He has told the world that he is proud to be vindictive. He cannot handle the issues now or whatever might come up. People hire a candidate for a job based a lot on personality - on "how" they might react to a future situation. Trump has given people plenty of warning on that.

There's a LOT more!

People talk about personality because we vote for personality

Not just americans , we do too. Justin got electd on charisma. Good looks, nice family, social media savvy

Ford got elected on "i am an ordinary guy , just like you" It didnt amtter that he wasnt, that he was a drug using alcoholic. People like his charisma

We vote for pretty people. (Usually). Tall people. We vote for wellspoken people even when we know they are reading a speech written by someone else.

Its why Trudeau can sound adult and intelligent when reading prepared lines and is full of uhmms and ahs and platitudes when speaking off the cuff.

Trump is a boorish buffoon who i suspct wasnt actually running until he started to win. Then his ego took over

Clinton is an experienced politician who people have never warmed up to. She just doesnt have the charisma requird in modern times

What their policies are doesnt really matter in an election.

Obama had no policies at all. But was well spoken, good looking, nice family and had a good line. Yes we can! Can do what ? was never asked

Wahls and walls and weals resulting from the piles of lies in stacks ... columns? How to survive in a domain of lies counter with a myth, story, or metaphorical opposition ... rival a' shun?

No graeme, pointe is a ballett reference

I sincerely think we would get better politicians if we didnt have tv. With tv we need holywood types, hence Trudeau. Pretty, tall, looks good on tv. politicians from50 years ago were not particularily good looking . Perhaps Kennedy was the first of the "must be good looking to get elected" new type

Yes. TV is not good for the mind. I did a lot of work on radio and TV. And I found that TV had far, far less impact than radio.
And, of course, en pointe. I also played piano for ballet classes for a time. I can still stand at the bar and do positions 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. And, with push and a couple of drinks, perhaps a grand jete.

I don't think Lincoln and his wooden teeth, Sir John A., always in his cups, would have done too well in contemporary, very visual, politics. Funny enough, though, in this particular attack ad that keeps haunting me on YouTube, it's the voice that I find particularly menacing. Like a rogue cop who's come across you in a dark alley.
