Time for a Deep Breath: Psalm 23

This thread has taken a disappointing turn and I am done with it. Will be back with another BPoTW in about a month's time.

Yes, I don't love the 23rd Psalm any more than I did, which was not very much. I'll host another BPoTW if I get inspired by either of my weekly study groups.

I did find the Shepherd discussion, regarding the eventual destination of the sheep, somewhat interesting, although I can't see it presenting God in any sort of positive light.

Which is kind of where I was nudging with that sub-thread.

However, I think we also need to recognize that 23 is not a theological statement. It is a personal one reflecting on how the psalmist perceives God's hand in their life. At least that's my perception as an occasional poet myself. The psalms in general are more literature than theology IMHO.

Gods in the biblical (booked) representation seem to be absorbed in the matters of war, conflict and self-assertion as in a NARC environment!

Then there is this underground cooperative movement ... that if one is not carful ... you could fall into because of edge theory! Limitations to eternal concepts ...

Topping it all off is the fact that those that flock with Gods may appear as flying bovine ... something else again! Where you flock is telling about perspectives. How many gathering are based on hate of the great unknown ... a large concern, bother, worry, or stress to those closed to large items ... like vast avarice as an abyss?

Maybe just Semite, or icon of sort as it Zoars ... Zions of more ... perhaps it is out there over the event horizon ... sometimes presented as the unreal "i"! Perhaps my abstract poke at what absolute does not deteriorate ... even stones in the great isle's ... Elise is that where you obscured your self ...

Yet, Elise is just another light word that flies without concern or really autocratic powers ...

Th' ought may be a literary device that adds up to nothing in the grasp of collective power ... so it goes and we lost it!
