Apparently I've been living under a rock or something. I thought this was a parody of the hunger games. I hadn't heard much about it until it was brought up here though.

Now I realize where I got this from. I watched a part of the The Starving Games, but it was really horrible so stopped it. Fuzzy brain at times with the exhaustion.

Sorry, I'll have to actually see this movie sometime and hopefully have something more productive to contribute.

Thanks so much for sharing this! I thought the movie was fantastic. I usually pick apart movies but was so moved that I didn't even think to do so so I was very surprised when I read this. I have shared it on my FB feed. I am hoping Mr Me will try to do the crosswords.

I finally managed to get out to see this movie today - excellent. I was a bit stunned by the ending though. Sad to think that was the "treatment" of homosexuality such a relatively short time ago. I am grateful for the reminder of how far our thinking has come.

My husband - a teacher of computer science in earlier days - was curious about the computational aspect too - he recalls seeing Turing's machine in the frontispiece of many computer texts.

And @revjohn - I definitely agree with your wife re the portrayal of an Asperger's type!
