This is where Chrisitianity goes to die. Unless Christians gain control of the educational system and gut it. As they are doing. That's the scary thing in the States. Well, one of them. These nutbars need stupid kids.

I'm a rank amateur who is fascinated with the subject. An armchair scientist, if you like.
 
It's amazing the names who show up against evolution. There have been optomitrists who can can't believe their eyes when it comes to evolution, listed in opposition to evolution. What counts as a scientist, then, depends on whether or not they agree with creationists.

They evolve to saying people are blind and should buy glasses!
 
I don't understand a world view where an engineer isn't a scientist.

Same way I don't understand someone who is 'pro' equal rights for women not being a feminist.

I'm pretty familiar with engineering curriculum. 90% of it (they've got to take communications and general education courses) screams "science" to me. Or math. It sure ain't hospitality, fine arts, occupational therapy or nursing practicum...
 
Someone who believes that all genders deserve equal treatment under the law, equal pay for work of equal value, etc.
