Let's not despise learning. The Reformers were people steeped in languages, history and theology. Their disciplined study became a servant to the Spirit’s fire.

A seminary degree sharpens the sword and trains the mind to rightly divide the Word of God. Degrees are useful as tools in Scripture's interpretation. To scorn degrees as mere ego is folly.

I burn against the anti-intellectualism that sneers at study

A seminary degree sharpens the sword and trains the mind
I think a well-done degree in anything should do this. It is really what post-secondary education, at least at the university level, is supposed to be about: Move beyond the broad, basic skillset the elementary through secondary education gives us to "sharpen the sword and train the mind" in a specific field of knowledge, whether that is theology or maths or science or whatever.

  • Ger rund ... a word with an "-ing" hanging ... participle attending. So much more than mortally appreciable ... and thus the expression that id'll be the death of me ... "be still mice hole ..."!
Room for the Meta 4 ... primal combatants with ova seers ...

Some believe that there is nothing beyond that except for that which is out of the rule pertaining ... where considerable unseen stuff occurs ...

Imagine expansive options! Should I keep them sacred to mysole as later missile? De*tune*at*ions ... explosive!

In some presentations these suffer after collapse like at OEmic updraft and radial fallout ... kick starts? Unofficial friction?

Detra mints; stamped out booty ... beautiful widow? There's a Celtic song of that theme ... just for kicks! Outlanders ... Wasteland ... waterbox or ward*robe ... ad continuum ... struggle to keep the head up ... consuming ... without stimulation ... observing the crap that goes by as norm.

Exposure that one needs to prepare for ... oilskins?

Key Scriptures on Worldly Wisdom and Knowledge

1 Corinthians 1:19–20: "For it is written:
'I will destroy the wisdom of the wise;
the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate.'
Where is the wise person? Where is the teacher of the law? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world?"

1 Corinthians 3:19: "For the wisdom of this world is foolishness in God's sight. As it is written: 'He catches the wise in their craftiness.'"

1 Corinthians 8:1: Knowledge puffs up

I say ---------Watch out for worldly Pride there Jaebius ------in your relying on your worldly degrees to supply you with the Rhema word of God ------

just saying

So many destructive opinions based on a book given power to corrupt people ... robbing them of equalities ... thus uneven C's ... disturbed light!

Vicissitude ... viscous, even tacky ...

No degree can save a person
And Jaebius never said they could. But they do help us understand things, including scripture and its meaning, better by educating us about the historical context and the history of how Christianity interpreted and continues to interpret scripture. You do not operate in a vacuum. Your ideas about scripture and salvation are not original to you and have been around a long time. There's a history of how Christianity came to think that way because, lo and behold, much of it is actually fairly modern in Christian terms. If you look at medieval and prior Christian writing, the understanding of scripture and its message is much different. An educated Christian recognizes that history and that the interpretation of scripture is something all Christians do and that their favoured interpretation is just one more, not the be-all and end-all.

The “sharpening the sword and training the mind” imagery, Mendalla, is both practical and poetic.

For me, a degree's beauty's how it shapes the way we notice patterns, connect ideas and approach life with more depth.

Whether it’s maths, science, or even theology, each field has its own rhythm, and diving into one deeply makes us more grounded and creative in how we see the world.

It’s like tending a garden. Cultivating knowledge always leaves us with something richer inside

Imagine all the scattered bits of heat that make up a degree ... there's an article out the on the friinge of the heliosphere that 90,000 degrees were found at the scattered fringe!

I've encountered a pious group of folk that do not believe there is such a tri-complex as: soul/psyche to be mined ... must be muted ... cause the powers will not hear of it ... the suggest spirits only ... thus documents like Corn Loss ...

Pursuing a degree, Luce, gives you space to figure out what you actually believe and stand for under pressure.

Having a solid foundation in a subject gives you the depth, tools and substance to express your own voice in a way that carries real weight in the world.

A degree's proof of personal commitment, resilience and growth.

That real-world discipline and grounding's why degrees still hold deep importance and value

I studied for 4 1/2 years on process engineering ... encountering people that hung despeately to the laws and directives as documented ... many of the instructors had little experience to know there were exceptional activites beyond that ...

I went out an busied myself with the irregularities that were denied like this:

It seems the borders in NA are being closed. Consider the options if the sky is closed an a repeat of 911 or a Jan 6 event?

There will be no come down after that ... only massive collapse; a story or torus? It could make the rounds if there are nothing but closed soul complex creating matrice ... spinoff of gnawing devices ...

You cannot tell the truth about these things due to ratting ... thus the myth! --- CS Lewis and perhaps Dante ... on dark things to be panned out, unspoken ...

Now let us face ineffible and what that means ... will all that is confined be ground out? Bottom line rule ... there bing nothing to ... IT?

If the answer is beyond posing for lack of knowledge ... what's the chance of mortal answer? Purple complexity ... said that purple adorns witches dores ... openings? Appreciate what has been aprehended and about to be as comprehension of the upcoming ... unending questions ...

People are the greatest questions I've encountered ... most prefer to know as little as potential ... and thus potential degrades ... goes absent ... like an abstract ... illustration of what isn't! Incarnate for a short rendering ... on material to be learned ... a dark field to be sure!

What we don't know and lie about is extensive if you listen some ... rapturous!

Caution: ... you could fall right into because of folly ... incomplete balances?

I've heard that life is like that as many are dead to anything I'd say ... for reason and logic that is hard to speak of ... God as Logi ... imagination?

The great unknown is like ignorance to examine ... ignore line ... an abstract?

Jaebius ... you should have seen the cutting looks I received from AJ Dunlap and Richard Chezneigh ... yup they were dark ... however doth anyone know them well enough to account for what they did?

Naught ... (negative aught, a peculiar icon) opposed to an ought with a + ... transitional like Sophia, something to be hidden away? OH Dioux ... O'Dour as a stinking thought ... Greek Syble carved in clay ... ochre? Hard set words ... picture those that don't wish to know ... nodesire ... co*dead as Kadesh ... just will not come back up ...

Yep. You learn how to build a rationale for your beliefs or hypotheses, build support for them, test them, and the present all that to someone else, usually your prof but sometimes a TA or the class. That's not to say university is the only way or is for everyone. There's a place for community and business college diplomas (all but one of my team at work have college diplomas) but they are geared more to specific skillsets, not developing thinking skills. It all comes down to what you want to learn, how you want to learn, and what you will do with it afterwards (career or pursue more education).

The central focus, Luce, is Christ, who orders the chaos and redeems the remnants.

Where you see the pain of disassembly's beauty, I see providence. Even in the breaking down, God's weaving together His purposes.

He breathes life into dust. That's the paradox. The picnic in pain becomes grace's feast.

My heart rests in the unshifting Rock.

The elevation disease's cured only when our gaze's fixed on God's glory

Christ ... who directs chaos and renders down stuff creating delight in the core ... sometime a deep rock oven for flatbread ... pizza at the core? Therein the great humor of corn and satyr from the chief cook of the cosmos? Ever has the notorious stone soup?

Complex chaos? Imagine selling machines for monarchs, tyrants and other quieting establishments doing this to the common people ... Johns about to be put through the process?

Confused? Did you ever wonder about the array of stuff you are fed from hard cast establishments that would hate you to know better or anything further that the dirt level ... ground beings? Thus Meatloaf and the meat grinders ... if you know how to unravel the obvious anachronism ... sybil 'n the mechanism of cranking out mules ... oracles ... nothing but Ba Lems ...

Could biblical literal presentations be quite different that the virtual manifestation ... stations? Obscured in the manifest ...

While the waste and others are consumed like chaff ... or MaGee in his Crematorium ... just getting warmed up! That's what one does with prodigal incinerate the waste ... that's all who are chosen for a warming period ... god's people to be burned by the representatives of avarice that do not recognize a reverse joust ... an out of body incident when the spirit is removed from the physical part as flames ... firepit?

This is for the other than chosen ... if backward ... who could be more wrong than the other?

Does flatbread qualify as Pan-fried that will stick to the belly more than that light and fluffy raised matter ... browned nicely? Lightens that desperate sensation in the gut ... corn bread?

Well if it wasn't supposed to make sense ... it fitz, filling that void between we darker folk and how to deal with hunger in the shade of man Zions ...

Well the poor people were supposed to remain stupid ... correct? Thus the backfires to warm the ignorant ... with a mystical and abstractly darker story of how everything ends when there's no one to labour ... avocation as vocation that just wouldn't remain stable and established? Collapse of society and civilization ... you can actually smell it coming with the accrued avarice ... corrupt?

Really there's not much to believe ... heavenly fire descends and a sector rages ... around 1620-50 in England, ranters were the rage in speaking ... like soap boxers in another period ... to cleanse the dirty drawers!

The danger, unsafe, in pride. That's why Paul says, “Love builds up.”

The Spirit gives life to our study. Without Him, even education such as mine's empty. With Him, even the simplest fisherman can speak with wisdom that confounds the world.

Let’s hold degrees loosely, unsafe, as instruments God uses.

Our faith rests in Christ crucified and risen.

Whether we have much learning or little, the Spirit's the true Teacher who leads us into all truth

And Jaebius never said they could.
Thank you Mendalla. You're right, I never did. Indeed, one of the prequesites of attending the seminary I did is to give written testimony to being a Christian. Having done so, it would then be most illogical for me to spend thousands of dollars and five years of study to get a degree that I might then be saved. Especially since I already had a BRE
But they do help us understand things, including scripture and its meaning, better by educating us about the historical context and the history of how Christianity interpreted and continues to interpret scripture. While historical context and theological tradition illuminate, Mendalla, I don't think they ever replace the Spirit’s work of opening hearts to the truth.

Our interpretations, I believe, are guided by God’s providence and His Spirit at work in the Church.

I rest in the conviction that God’s Word's clear enough to lead His people to Christ, even if our grasping's always partial and needing correction
