This is my view
So we see here in verse 13 ---
AMP B
Those Who Died in Christ
13 Now we do not want you to be uninformed, believers, about those who are asleep [in death], so that you will not grieve [for them] as the others do who have no hope [beyond this present life]
i say -----so when believers dies our body stays in the grave and is asleep --our spirit and soul leave the body and go to be with the Lord -----So Paul is making sure that he is informing his believers that they don't have to grieve like the unbelievers who have no hope ---
14 For
if we believe that Jesus died and rose again [as in fact He did], even so God [in this same way
—by raising them from the dead] will bring with Him those [believers] who have fallen asleep in Jesus.
So this speaks of Jesus who defeated death and rose again with His body that is now Glorified ----just like His body was changed during the transfiguration that was witnessed ---so these Believer Bodies that are asleep in the Grave can now be resurrected ------
15 For we say this to you by the Lord’s [own] word,
that we who are still alive and remain until the coming of the Lord, will in no way precede [into His presence] those [believers] who have fallen asleep [in death].
So we see here that the living will not proceed the dead in Christ -------
16 For the
Lord Himself will come down from heaven with a
shout of command, with the
voice of the]archangel and with the [blast of the] trumpet of God,
and the dead in Christ will rise first.
So we here the Lord comes Down from Heaven -----with a shout and the trumpet will blast and the bodies sleeping rise first ------
17 Then
we who are alive and remain [on the earth] will simultaneously be caught up (raptured) together with them [the resurrected ones] in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord!
So we see the believers bodies asleep in the grave rise up ----then any believer living will then be caught up to meet Jesus in the air and will remain with God ----
This event has not happened yet so it is in the present future still -----
18 Therefore
comfort and encourage one another with these words [concerning our reunion with believers who have died].
So Paul is telling the Believers to encourage one another with this knowledge ------
What does the Bible say about Rapture? - Scriptures on the End Times
Here is a collection of Bible verses about the rapture to help you understand Revelations Scriptures and the end times. Wondering about the end times and the rapture can cause confusion, worry and fear for a lot of people, even Christians!

The Rapture - the raising of the Church into heaven (1 Thessalonians 4:17)—
is the next event on the prophetic calendar. The Rapture is when Christ comes back and takes every Christian that is still on this earth and resurrects all of those who have died and takes them to heaven with Him.
I say -----So we see here it tells us that the next event on the Prophetic calendar is the Rapture of the Church ----and that is what I believe--------after the Rapture of the Church then comes the 7 year tribulation and then comes the 2nd coming after the 7 year Tribulation -----
Now some folks think that the Rapture happens at the 2nd Coming and some say the rapture happens in the middle of the 7 year Tribulation -----but if you research properly the Scriptures you see that it happens before God's wrath is poured out on this earth ---
The Saints have to be in Heaven for Jesus to come with All His Saints ---that only makes sense ----as pointed out in
1 Thessalonians 3:13 ---
