Progressive: Too Christian for Atheists, not Christian enough for Christians

Welcome to Wondercafe2. If you feel the need to discuss faith questions, this is a place where that happens better than in most congregations. Only a few church people seem to be interested in probing their faith or digging into tough questions. For some this will be because abstract thinking is not easy or comfortable for them. For some others it will be because the energy needed for these kinds of discussions is sucked away by other challenges in their lives. A few will recognize that getting into serious faith discussions can dramatically change their lives, and they are not ready to risk real change. Some will be too busy. Some will feel inadequate for the task and avoid being embarassed by avoiding serious discussions. And there are other possible reasons. The comment by another poster about changing the Lord's Prayer reminded me of the one time I did this in worship -- very negative reaction. I wish you the best in pursuing your faith journey.

To a population acclimatized to fixations and stability ... the instability of a continuum of learning would be a subtle devil ...

Thus Earth (Ghia, GEO?) as a rest point for those born without a clue, and thus senseless ... a test station for all to pass through as if a die in the process of producing futurists nuts and bolts? Observe the derivation of word as a continuous progression ... thus words go on and on ... right by those stably fixated ... institutionalized of the other kind?

Thank god the conservatives don't generally understand me and pass me off as crazy, in a class with people that see the invisible ... with consequences ... tis an impossible state for those living as stones ...

Thus that old axiom: "Those that see the invisible can perform the impossible ... and thus drift off inde Light ... Christ? Levitation?
