Nope, mechanic brother-in-law changes them for me and I don't even have to leave the house if I don't want to. :) He isn't sure if he can do them today or not.

Oh my gosh it was COLD today! Niece didn't even feel it as she dashed about with the papers. All in all, a better day than yesterday - seems the sole of my boots broke on me and my whole body felt beat up by this morning...wore a different pair today and it was much better.

Yes, the plastics in these artificial soles on shoes do degrade over the years. I have quite a few pairs of a particular boot/shoe that I wear most of the winter. I buy a couple of pairs of whatever colour has gone out of style (and is therefore on sale) at the end of the season. Each year, I throw out a pair or two, not because the uppers have broken down, but because the soles have become fragile, then cracked.

LAST. It's about zero here, and apparently there's a snow alert for tonight, 5-15 cm.

BA Hold you niece ransom-either keep her until your tires are changed or refuse to babysit until they are changed. Whatever you deem to be more effective with her dad.

Mine wasn't plastic but still broke...this pair I'd had 3 years so not bad for every day use during the winter (thought I'd only had them a yr or 2). I have such a hard time finding boots to fit my narrow feet so am thankful I bought 2 pair at the time.

Just made 3.5 cups of cashew/macadamia nut butter...making a batch of pecan/walnut/hazelnut butter now.

Bethanne, I have figured out your kissing problem. With a women who can take so long so say a simple world like last, any Romeo would always find himself just kissing your teeth.

I don't have a kissing problem...not at all...the Kisser loves my kisses.

Well, a man fixated on teeth. Beware.
And don't be forgetful some day and leave your teeth in the drawer. He'll drop you. And steal your teeth.
