There's 1 pro-Canada sign in town for sure (at the end of my block) and lots of pro-separation signs...and a few for sale signs.

Infamous restaurant owner is spreading propaganda that the majority of AB First Nations want to separate and that we'll all be dual Canada/sovereign Alberta citizens so won't lose any Canadian rights, we just won't have to deal with Ottawa and give them any more money. (I think it's funny how they don't want to be part of Canada and yet they really want to retain Canada citizenship!).

Funny thing is, as our citizenship law is currently set, I think they are actually correct. You'd be dual Alberta-Canadian citizens unless you specifically gave up your Canadian citizenship. Where they are wrong is the dealing with Ottawa part. If they want to ship oil to the West Coast or the rest of Canada, then Ottawa will be involved. After all, you'd then be an independent country and foreign affairs and trade are a federal responsibility. In fact, arguably, the sovereign Alberta government might end up dealing with Ottawa more than the current provincial one.

With the corruption can one really say what would happen? This sort of stuff flies from all sides as we seem to support it as easier than the truth ... truth is alien ... and many believe the alien is evil! Thus repetitive chaos ... as a subtle thing ...

Hard to figure on ... I am simple and I see it as vast pandemonium ... a great storm as some would call an approaching gob ... contrary to good sense of looking after the details that affect a delicate life ...

I have to re evaluate what folk accept as intelligent. Thus we go over and over ...
What is more important than the rich in our life ... what?

There are these framing devices ... Ephraim of confining ridges ...

I think the citizenship thing depends on if a separated Alberta gains international recognition as a sovereign nation - which would be very doubtful as we don't meet the current criteria for that (population persecuted by the national govt or denied citizenship rights). I know there is a way the dual citizenship can happen but I'm pretty sure I did hear that it would not work in our case.

And thinking they'd have MORE leverage as a sovereign nation negotiating with BC and Ottawa is also foolish. Canada could say no to them re pipelines and there would be nothing they could do and nothing would happen. The whole movement should have been stopped in its tracks when they lost the court cases.
