He has gained 50 lbs since moving in a little less than a year ago. Prior to that, he had dropped 38 lbs in our first 4 years together. I make too much food available, I think. I make hummus or similar every week, providing both vegetables AND crackers to dip in. There's always bread and sardines and eggs. If I make tarts, I have to make an extra half dozen to accommodate failure tarts, and he eats the leftovers.
And I'm prone to being more thin than fat, and I'm very fond of potatoes and bread, so I keep them around. Jack Sprat and his wife, or the opposite, is a bit difficult to deal with, although I'm actually the healthiest weight I've been in a decade.
