I have a few slightly noticeable swollen joints, but my fingers look like they would work okay, but they really don't. I can shift stuff but manipulation is difficult. Writing is hard, knitting is difficult
Vibes. I was diagnosed with arthritis in my fingers several years ago (pre-pandemic, so maybe 6-7 years now) and it definitely has its impacts, though it is fairly stable, i.e. not getting worse.

Would have been nicer if it arrived earlier in the week or later...I'm supposed to be on the road today/tomorrow delivering papers

Grass? What's grass? :ROFLMAO: I imagine mine will be visible again by the weekend. Things are warming up here as the week progresses.

With us, it was a pool (not a permanent one, the large movable kind) during the summer. New neighbours have three kids, all preteen or less in age.
We have a playground across the road from our house. =so we hear lots of happy noise. There is a climbing unit, a small aerial runway, swings, a skating rink and a basketball court. When COVID isolation hit we noticed an increase of small groups having picnics there. This has continued and I have seen a Bible study group, the Hone School group, Vacation Bible School classes, students on school trips eating at the park instead of a fast food place, and, of course, families and extended families.

I'm across the highway from the school (which was very handy when we attended elementary and Jr High) so there are often happy noises during recess and lunch on school days.

And I live right behind a school and a few yards away from a catwalk leading from my street to the schoolyard, so the sound of bells and children are default around here.

My neighbourhood doesn't have its own school. The board's allocation just above my place got sold off in the end as the baby bust had started and they didn't have enough students to justify another school in the area. There's a big public school near the mall East of me, which is where Little M went for grades 1-4 and the RCs built in the newer neighbourhood North of me.

What does a roaming universalist look like ... stretched thin? Like a Roman Armor ... mostly empty ... tough hide!

Anyone remember the old children's song...

"I am slowly going crazy...1 2 3 4 5 6...switch
Crazy going slowing am I 6 5 4 3 2 1...switch"

Feels like my life lately
