I am avoiding a thread which I find toxic and another couple that irritate me. I also have certain folks on Ignore.

Is this why it seems so slow? Or is everybody busy discussing US politics?

Site seems solid today. No issues that I have noticed. Internet connection is kind of the usual culprit for me. Reboot your modem and gateway (if you have one). That's the usual first step. Though I find that tech support will ask you to do it again even you have already done it. I think having someone like me who actually knows what they are doing on the line messes them up.

Everything has been rebooted a couple of times. I had to send the paper in twice as the first time didn't work. Had to upload to Google Drive twice as first time didn't work...had to post to FB (that's it's own issue!) 3x as didn't work first two (no error message, didn't get deleted, just wouldn't post). Tried on IPad too and same thing

This is where I bust out things like Speedtest.net to do some troubleshooting of my own but you're probably better to just call tech support if it keeps up.

I have my Internet behave like that, too. How's the weather? Even if you're on a wired connection, that can come into play.
