LAST as I wonder how I'm going to get my lawn mowed - still hasn't been done even once yet this year. I asked one neighbour 3 weeks ago and he said yes, but I haven't seen him since...I asked another neighbour after he got huffy because he hadn't been asked - he laughed in my face and said no (JERK!)...and the guy I was going to hire to mow isn't anywhere to be found this week - even though I saw him every day LAST week :P (should have asked but was waiting to hear from neighbours)
 
Crap, seriously? I thought it was supposed all cold and impersonal in the city and everyone helps everyone in the small towns. Yet, here's BA having trouble getting help while I just asked a neighbour to watch my place while I was away and he even did the lawn once. Mine probably needs a pass with the mower. This weekend, maybe, since I have three days to choose from.

The Jerk used to be very helpful till I told him he couldn't have my gravel pile for free because I need all of it to finish my labyrinth path...he's been pouting and miserable ever since - and he can afford to buy as much gravel as he wants way easier than I can

Small towns are getting colder and more impersonal as more folks move from the city and don't even bother to talk to anyone, let alone help their neighbours.
 
Communication, connection and socialization are said to be evil by one faction of the fascia ... it is just how life goes as emotions take off !

And, yeah, pretty dark and gloomy here, too. With rain falling. Two brownouts so far. Not sure why power around here is being so flaky this summer.

Possibly because of efficiency cuts that have become marginal ... and the administrations don't understand reasonable margins of error ... being they believe they are super perfect ... a deficient vision ... happened here in NB too because of the perfection in leadership ... no kid Dan ... somewhere somehow something is stupid and ignorant of imperfection in humans ... they believe they are gods but ... it just isn't so ... it has been observed even though we were told not to look (blind faith) ... leads to unseen ends! "My ass" said the head ... and it followed ... numb in us? Some dislike the numinous ... then there is the grey matter ... outliers?
