Sigh...since people get offended when I put pictures of people on the front of the paper for the Mother's Day issue, and they get even MORE offended when I put cute animals on the front cover for Mother's Day...I decided to do something different

Um, Mother's Day and having a "mother" on the cover is offensive? Sounds like you're getting into a can't win situation. I'd go full-on woke here and put a lesbian couple with their children. Let them be offended.

Who knew that mothers were so easily offended!? Interestingly, the fathers aren't offended by the Mother's Day images I've used

My minister was taken aback when I didn't want a picture of my mom on the order of service for her funeral. She hated photographs of herself so we went with a pot of hyacinths. Her favorite flower.
