Well, so I assumed from the dismay you displayed at your inability to cope with what seemed to me a not terribly difficult curriculum assignment. Indeed, your latest avatar appears to send a pleading message of your sense of inadequacy and intellectual confusion. not that I'm criticizing you. not at all. Never criticize, I always say, Yes, I always say that. Who can tell. Some day, I could have a complete mental collapse and become almost the wretch that you must feel you are. Not that it's bad to be a wretch. As I always say, let people be. Some are happy as miserable wretches. That's what I always say. Always be humble and unpretentious. I always say that....... My own retirement plan is to spend the rest of my life avoiding water and soap and never changing clothes so I can develop an air about me so I can spend the days visiting the local pastors and chatting with them about what I always say.

Nope. Not me. M. Marceau might have been, but not me. Maybe you'll get lucky, and instead of writing a church history paper, you'll be able to do your report through interpretive dance.

Ah... if only it was a church paper that we have to write. Here's what lies ahead...

1,200-1,300 word primary source interpretation paper - on the subject of persecution, power and prayer - due April 1.
1,500-1,600 word integration paper - on the subject of Martin Luther's life - due April 22.
3,500-3,800 word Benedict and Francis paper - on the subject of the nature and mission of the community - due May 13.

Yes, it really is that intense.
 
I don't see the problem. That's a good six weeks to do some six thousand words. that's less work than answering birthday cards. But, of course, you are the one who has to do them. And, I must say, it is unChristian to inveigle Bethanne into cheating for you.
But at least this discussion gets us away from the childish obsession with being last - which I am.
 
Yes, you were, however briefly. It's an important experience; and even a woman can do it. However, written too frequently, it can be bad for women. It makes them uppity.
 
Personally, I have always liked shorter. Undergrad assignments were usually 10,000 words minimum...Graduate assignments were usually only a page, and point form - which I found a breeze though others in the class whined and complained of the workload.
