We don't get trick or treaters here. We do have to listen to fireworks. That was a challenge with our last dog who was terrified of fireworks, gunshots (we get hunters near here) thunder and similar sounds.
 
surprisingly there are never fireworks on Halloween - I have neighbours who use any excuse to set off fireworks

BC loves their fireworks. I grew up in Ontario where they were only allowed on the May long weekend and on Canada. Apparently Halloween fireworks have ties to Guy Faulkes. (Sp?)
 
We had a dog that immediately looked up when hearing a bang or other report in the sky ...

He was always attempting to get over something ... especially kennels! The lady that housed him by times called him Houdini as she never saw how he escaped.

Ever see a Lab climb a 10 ft., chain link? Impossible? I accept potential impossibilities declared by authorities ... they just don't understand everything ... many don't even initiate a try!
 
LAST...we're under a snowfall warning and it's really storming...driver was supposed to be here over an hour ago with the papers and I can't get a hold of him to find out if he's out on the roads today or not
 
Sure...rub it in...driver here at 12:40...I left at 12:45...got to Bashaw at 1:00...left Bashaw at 2:55...home at 3:10...normally, I do the deliveries in Bashaw in 45 mins (an hr if I visit)...it's nasty out there...the rest of the deliveries are going to have to wait till tomorrow or Friday
