I had a taste at the Botanical Gardens, in Montreal, one year. It's so expensive that they offered only the flatter end of a toothpick as a sample. It did have a unique flavour, as I recall.
 
Until COVID, my ex-sister-in-law in Dorval, and I, "lived" for our yearly visit to the Gardens, usually with our stepmother/-in-law. We confess that there may have been the odd bit of seed-borrowing...

I got to try birch syrup on sourdough pancakes in Whitehorse about 12 years ago. I enjoyed it. It had a unique flavour which I can't describe now.
 
I can watch sunsets over the hill on the far side of the fields behind our lot through the patio door or the upstairs bathroom. We can see sunrises over the Laurentians on the far side of the river through our bedroom, kitchen, and spare bedroom windows. Many afternoons heavy clouds block watching the sunset, like today.

In a way it's hard to know whether to show the darkness or not as there is a streetlight that can shines on the trees + security lights from to neighbours' homes (depending on the time of night)
 
Oh my! I did something WILD...sent in an application for the next program which is to create your own album (as I did have the thought that I could create one as a keepsake of the songs I've done in the immersion and 7-week program)...4 months long and other logistical issues could be a problem (not money as I didn't have to do the sky drawings for Calgary submission so I could use some of that money if I wanted)...I don't know if this is something I should do or not but my theme for 2022 is "show up" and when I do show up and take the steps opportunities open up so................................................... It's only open to 12 people so there is a chance I wouldn't get accepted but now would be the best time (rather than waiting a year) because who knows what will happen.
