Big day today and I woke up at 3 AM :P Live blood analysis first...gallery set up next...acupuncture...and potentially some grocery shopping (if I have any energy left)
 
Neighbour drive by and then contacted me to let me know my vehicle windows were smashed :( Driver's window on both vehicles...seems I'm not the only one in town and a bunch in Alix got hit too...spent the whole day dealing with the situation and still not all done/resolved...earliest car can be fixed is Thurs (if all goes well) and the truck will be longer as they look for a window
 
It wasn't extreme cold, then? That's what I thought first when I saw your pics. Too bad people are such jerks. You've put tarps/garbage bags in the windows in the interim?

Nope...others were shot at but because mine were completely shattered and they couldn't find a pellet, they can't say "for sure" that mine were also shot...definitely wasn't the cold. I did have them covered - they aren't now as my neighbour will be over shortly to put something better on them
 
What the hell? Someone drove through the village shooting at car windows or something? Aye caramba.

Yep...that's exactly what they did...I didn't think any thing was stolen - even though they went through the car console and tossed everything on the seat - but when I was vacuuming, I discovered that they took mom's old heavy scissors that I had in the car for cutting the paper bundles apart - you can't even get scissors like that anymore :(
 
Heavy plastic has been put over the window holes! Fingers crossed the tape sticks all night in the cold. We now know for sure that whoever smashed the windows didn't open the door at all as I did (didn't unlock with the key fob) and instantly set off the alarm so they must have just leaned in and reached for the console items and the scissors - which were on the dash
 
And there are those that say that the world doesn't go crazy with freed will! It must be contained by conscience ... quality that is like thin space ... rare and vacuous!
 
Hopefully today is a better day...though I have a LOT of the paper to get together since I was gone Monday and got derailed yesterday
 
Insurance company got back to me - the estimate = the deductible I have to pay so they are cancelling the claim
 
Car window wasn't delivered to the autobody as promised so now looks like it will be Monday before I can get it fixed :P
