Actually, looking at the times on your posts, I think you were both last in the old year and first in the new.Technically I think I was first in 2022
By the way, Alix, which I think is covered in your paper, came up in a thread on Twitter about weird sculptures. Didn't think to grab the link to send you. The thread was started by Neil Gaiman and was supposed to be about weird dinosaurs statues but kind of escalated. Yes, Drumheller came up, too. And a bunch of other Canadian stuff.

Yes, the Alix-gator - which is an alligator not a dinosaur
And the statue is actually rather cute compared to some of the concepts they were considering - I was still on the Chamber of Commerce when that happened and part of the committee that short-listed the concept drawings. to go to the Village Council for final approval.

Many lakes have those critters. My City has Kempenfelt Kelly (Kempenfelt being the name of the bay of Lake Simcoe around which Barrie is situated).
Sometimes just a musk rat ... a smelly gnawing item ... as Grinch stated another "thing" ... something is good and alternate things we poorly understand ...
And a dark force made life to be complex and interesting to unravel ... diabolical but you cannot say that when in company with the simple as they find it satyr-like criticism ... mostly about how they are confined! Dam nation? O lord an ante nymph ...
Can a national bank be drained as busy folks already broached it and sent it off-shore? Thus the forte of knocks (knoxs) is the urge to look not ... thus cited as unseen territory ... dark to say least! How could we know beta ... second breaths ...
I was once told by a psychiatrist whom we were doing physical work for ... that spending time with the simple can drain your thoughts ... a conned sequence? Thus templar disappearance as burned and exhausted ... an inhospitable Myrrh, or mir thing to reflect upon when face down ... impressive? Iconic t say least ... when it is expected that one would become silent ... thus those voices in the head ... well some hear'M in fullness of harmony!

Yes, I've seen muskrats on Alix Lake...even saw one scuttle down our street here in town and there are no lakes close to us.
