Well, it's calm here, but there's tons of small branches around, my neighbour next door lost a large portion of her back fence, and in some sort of wyrdness, there appears to be clean water bubbling up from the very bottom of my driveway..

hopefully that bubbling water isn't a sign of something serious

Light enough now that I can take the garbage out - should have done it a few days ago but I didn't and then the yard turned into a skating rink and I didn't want to risk it
 
Oh, I think it is. There's a city truck here, and there's been a young guy wandering around with a large yellow instrument of some sort, waving it about like a modern divining rod. But, since it seems to be coming from the boulevard, it will, at least, not be my expense, but there might be water shut offs and chaos around my house for a while, which will be a nuisance.
 
Yes, good thing I watched the service virtually today because there has been much busy-ness around here. The water main is broken, they will repair it today, but in the meantime, there are trucks and people around, and horror of horrors, in Lucy's very own backyard. It's gonna be a noisy day here.

Well, yes, partly because of the water. The temperature's not much above freezing, and if this all freezes, my little avenue is going to be a skating rink. Although looking at forecast, it's going to be a warm week; up to 14 on Thursday, for Pete's sake.
 
I vacuumed upstairs - wish I could do a more thorough job and wash the floors too - pulled the oven out (washed under/behind/sides) and found 1 missing bead and 2 beads under the kitchen table (think I'm still missing some)

I need to get going on those jobs, but it's almost lunch now so I guess this afternoon.
 
LAST, with a mended watermain, two sumacs gone, plus a row of orange lilies, and a there's a bloody great patch at the bottom of my driveway.
 
LAST, with the recycling out for tomorrow, and the car back in the driveway. Lucy is now sleeping off her bad day, having had a nice supper.
