I believe most humans are lazy and don't want to do for themselves what they can get others to do for them. I have an almost fifty year old kid who phones for the recipe every time she wants to make a particular item. I eventually sent her the information via computer. That didn't help at all the next year when she wanted the recipe.
When my kids were small I read them a particular story at Christmas time. I have sent these adult kids the file for it every Christmas since they got kids. Guess who can never find the file on their computers! Guess who wants it NOW before the kid goes to bed?
I find this really weird - maybe it is a generational thing. I hand wrote that book on blue airmail paper and sent it to my sister when her children were tiny. When her kids were grown she sent it back to me for my kids to enjoy. I still have that original copy and can find it right away if wanted. I can also find it on my computer.

Went out to bike at 7:40 AM and then my day went sideways - in a good way, thankfully, but I haven't eaten yet and it is almost 1:30 PM! On the plus side, I have gotten a lot done and a lot of sale items out of the house and sold

I really hate dealing with LAST night's kitchen mess in the morning. Sometimes after a family gathering, I will leave a second dishwasher load for morning. If I do this, I always rinse and stack the dishes. Plus clean off the counters, etc

I dislike it too but don't have the energy (or a nice helpful Irish or Scottish house boy) to do it for me tonight

I just spent 2.5 hrs (!) putting up 2 strings of Christmas lights - solarium ones were quick and slick as I used the clips I used to put the sheets up...deck ones went up pretty quick to as I used more of the same clips but then I discovered that I put them up backwards (even though I double checked to make sure I had them right) and couldn't plug them in (grrrrrr) - switched them around and it seemed to take FOREVER to get them back up :P Turned the breaker on and no lights :P had to switch a couple extension cords around before I could make it work...and I always check and replace bulbs in the house so everything works before I hang them up and invariably, half the bulbs won't come on after I get them all up - even the LED bulbs don't work (grrrr)
