Mine are possibly tension related rather than true migraines, so I usually try to deal with accompanying tension in my neck and right shoulder (it's always on the right side) before I hit the pill bottles. For instance, today, I mostly had the tension and some soreness in the neck and shoulder before the headache really came on. I am increasingly thinking that's not really the problem, though, and that I have true migraines. Are you using OTC painkillers or a prescription migraine med?Mendalla, do you take a painkiller at the first suggestion of one of these things? Mine often start with a visual disturbance, and sometimes if I take something as soon as I recognize it, I head it off at the pass.
I used to take extra-strength Tylenol because it knocked me out as I had to sleep off the migraineJust OTC painkillers. I'm a fan of extra strength gel ibuprofen. Seems to work quickly. Also, quite frankly, CBD gummies can also help me a lot.
Sorry to hear about the headaches. My niece told me she can turn her headaches off by clipping a clothes pin to the 'web' between her pointer finger and thumb. I rarely get headaches now but when I did I used to massage that area and it helped.Somehow I got the housework done (my part of it) while a migraine (or whatever headache it is I get) was coming on. Now paying for that bravado.
I'll have to remember to try a clothes pin next timeSorry to hear about the headaches. My niece told me she can turn her headaches off by clipping a clothes pin to the 'web' between her pointer finger and thumb. I rarely get headaches now but when I did I used to massage that area and it helped.
I have actually switched back to acetaminophen of late. Found extra strength ibuprofen, which I have sworn by for years, was not helping much with this recent spate of aches.Just OTC painkillers. I'm a fan of extra strength gel ibuprofen. Seems to work quickly.
I couldn't LAST without my prescription migraine medicine.
