Last as I celebrate my new year today. I had a bone scan and CT yesterday. It was interesting being at the hospital at 0700 as many people were starting their shifts for the day. We were treated very well, and even had a decent breakfast in the hospital cafeteria. My afternoon was lazy with some napping. and TV.

My sister had a doctor's appointment yesterday. That involved an ECG and bloodwork. She is connected to LifeLabs and was able to see her report. Turns out she has thyroid issues, likely Grave's disease. She received a call from a cardiologist last night encouraging her to go to Emerg to get her heart rate down. While she was there, she was seen by an internist who happened to be there. He was able to explain a lot to her and she will see him in a couple months apparently. So, now it is my turn to support a sibling instead of just being supported. This aging thing sucks some days doesn't it....
Good thing you have support and can support your sister. Hugs

Thanks. I'm thankful that my husband is so supportive. My brother-in-law has chronic back pain, and is somewhat needy. He would be needy without the sore back. He also uses marijuana for pain, so won't always be in a condition to drive. He does have a heart of gold though and will support her to the best of his ability. She also has a great next door neighbour

Support comes in all different forms

Glad you are able to be a support person for your sis. I thought that medical marijuana didn't affect your ability to drive. Not sure WHY I think that. Recently I've been thinking about trying CBD oil but am still dithering. Never smoked up back in the day either. A while back I asked my GP about it and he reacted very defensively and made it plain that he doesn't know anything about it.

One of the nicest ways to try CBD oil is as a bath bomb. You can get CBD-oil-infused bath bombs (the bicarb of soda sorta things), and soak in the bath for a while. What usually results is quite a noticeable feeling of well-being, as well as a definite reduction in pain.

I didn't know that!

Sure does! But I guess experiencing all the aches & pains is better than not having the opportunity of aging - at least in some respects.

Hmmm - CBD bath sounds interesting. I have to admit, I'm more of a shower person, although we have a great bathtub, I rarely think to use it!

He doesn't use CBD or medical marijuana. He uses the old fashioned pot. He does get high. Frankly I believe he uses it for more than physical pain relief. I've expressed my opinion when it was appropriate and have let it go. It's up to them.

And at LAST - I invite you to the Siena Cathedral in Italy ... a recently complete 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle brought home to us by our son when he visited there last fall. I used my cellphone cam for the photo - interesting how it tilts the columns!
WOW! That would be quite the puzzle to do!

I'm a shower person, generally, but a CBD bath bomb is worth it for a change. I also use a bath when I've overused muscles, in which case, an epsom salts bath is helpful.

have been a shower person for many years. Not that I didn't enjoy a good soak but because I developed difficulty getting out of the tub. I also tended to get a UTI every time I indulged in a soak. Aging sucks indeed!
