Okay...I DEFINITELY need more practice with my basket-making as this (2nd attempt) is rather crude and free-form-ish, but I did it and I finished it...and I'm happy! Need to buy more glue before I can make more newspaper tubes...we've NEVER run out of glue in this house till today!

Did you use drinking straws for this basket? My guess would be that they aren't quite flexible enough. I once made a wee basket at Guide camp using autumn grass stems soaked overnight in a bucket. I thought it was cool at the time but wasn't rich enough to have a camera to immortalise it on film.
