I'm ready to scream...mom called a neighbour to see if they'd drive her to Alix to get her toenails clipped...neighbour phoned mom back and said that she discussed it with her husband and they feel I should be driving mom...this husband is the same guy who returned my library books for me on Tuesday cause I can't drive! These so-called friends say call any time you need help but when you really need help and call none will actually help!

On another note, I hope I LAST until the campsite when we can turn on the A.C. in the trailer and cool off. We're also going to see if there's a Pet Value or similar where we can take the dog in for a cool field trip. He's been a trooper in this heat.

What does Pet Value do for your dog?

I'm cooling off. So is the dog. Husband is running an errand so he'll cool off later. I think he's tougher than the dog and I anyway

Did you find a Pet Value for your dog? Another great place to cool off (for humans anyway) is at a flower store. Go in and ask if you can look around their walk-in fridge.

Our local Canadian Tire lets people bring their dogs in. I don't know of that's something all Canadian Tires do or not. There are some other stores that allow dogs now. I think that's partly in response to the concern about people leaving dogs in hot cars.

I am cooling down. Seems the dog is too. He's looking more perky. Hubby came home with Greenies (treat) which is a bonus. :)
