Not really. They just return to their shape when washed. New sock wool is great. It is washable and durable.

CP is a joke, really. Did you try pricing out Purolator or similar or is that too hard to get in your town (living in a city, I have ready access to both Purolator and Fedex)? They are sometimes no more expensive for some shipments depending on what options you choose.

Better than UCRD though. I was going to order a book which was $20 but the shipping was $12.70 (though if I wanted 9 copies the shipping was only $15 and change). A colleague had an extra copy and mailed it to me---for $4.70

That's been my experience as well. Canada Post has been the most efficient and cost effective. Go figure.

I've had some cases where Fedex (I think it was) was the better option, but I figured it wouldn't be for her given where she is. As I said, it was just a suggestion.

The last thing that was shipped to me via FedEx got a tour of Canada. I lived in the BC Peace at the time so they sent it to Abbotsford or Vancouver. Then they realized they had erred so it went back to Edmonton. The place it was supposed to be in the first place. Then it looked like it had been dropped kicked so there was damage that had to be repaired. Everything turned out in the end. Finally. Or should I say at last......
