Heh heh. Don't get too excited yet. Wait until you see what they charge for beer these days.![]()
I'm out of touch. i tipped my last glass some 20 years ago. (Just lost interest in it.) What does a brew cost now?
In China, lots of tiny convenience stores had very musty bottles of scotch hanging down in front of the store. According to their labels they were 100 years old and more. And they cost less than ten dollars. ( I never tried one. That may be why I'm still alive today.)
I think for a draft it's $3 and change. Course some people, like @Redbaron fr'instance, will only drink the fancy-shmancy imported stuff. I think that's around $8 a bottle.

Bean??Some of us actually prefer the extract of the bean to any other beverage. c[_]
Of course, a cold beer is nice on occasion, too.
I'm addicted to diet ginger ale at a dollar for 2 litres. I do remember a wonderful beer I had in China. It was made in a part of China that had been dominated by the Germans until World War 1. I think it was called Tsingtao. When I got back to Canada, I found it in the liquor stores It was still good but - it really doesn't seem to travel well.
