LAST after a nice walk down at the waterfront with Lucy the hound (and 2 of her Collie friends), watching all of the huts out on the ice, the parking lot full of trucks and SUVs and guys towing sleds here and there (not very many women in evidence). No appreciable snow here; the driveway remains about half shovelled after last snowfall, *sigh*. Rigoletto on the radio this afternoon live from the Met. Very nice.

Isn't today the superbowl? Even if I had cable, it wouldn't be on here, but it's an interesting 'marker' in the year, and some people seem to get very excited. LAST, as I start thinking about leisurely getting ready for church. One of our retired ministers (the one who was minister here for 37 years) is delivering the message today, a treat for us, and a week off for the Rev after the annual congregational meeting last week.
