WD-40 is a must. I tend to reach for the packing tape before I reach for duct tape...rarely think of the electrical tape till too late.

Wouldn't trust packing tape to keep the weight of a window in place for a day or two. Wouldn't trust electrical tape to stick when applied during a fine rain, which it was. More Red Green than McGyver, for sure.
