Happy Mother's Day whether you are a mother or have a mother! Since Mrs. M is away, I took a selfie with Little M last night and turned it into a Mother's Day card. It was already Sunday where she is so I couldn't wait until this morning.

I think we call it Christian Family Sunday, don't we?

I got a pre-mother's day call (in case the planets of "devices charged" and "free wi-fi" don't align today) from my son in B.C. Daughter's supposed to be coming to breakfast at the church with me, but 9 a.m. is awfully early for a night owl, so we'll see.

I've heard it called a few different things, involving 'family' and 'home'. They all seem to centre around the same idea.

At my Baptist shush we have Women's Sunday on Mother's Day, and Men's Sunday on Father's Day. We like to keep things equal.

At my Baptist shush we have Women's Sunday on Mother's Day, and Men's Sunday on Father's Day. We like to keep things equal.

Does that mean you also ordain women?

Actually I think you know, we do not. We maintain that women and men, while they are equal are different; and we puzzle at the logos of those who think differently.

We had a little rain earlier here in Toronto, but it seems okay now. Happy to report that an able-bodied person surrendered their priority featured to me today on a shuttle bus. Nose to know there are come good people on this old earth.
