that would be a waste of clafoutis. I did just send a scathing feedback email.Maybe send them some clafoutis as a bribe?![]()
Which ever it was, I got a response. That said, I still have not been contacted "immediately" to have this resolved yet.Him or his executive assistant, I wonder. I looked him up and he's been there a long time for a CEO in this day and age. Could be around a while yet, too, given he's not much older than me and C-suite types often hang on past 65.
You'd think. Almost as bad as when I tried to get the County to change the water bill to my name and they insisted they had to turn off my water for 48 hr and set up a new account. I agreed to the new account but I pitched a fit about them shutting off the water so they didn't.Utilities can actually be the worst to deal with sometimes. I haven't had to deal with much weirdness from them recently and even swapping out my gas meter actually went fairly smoothly but I've had my issues with them, too. You would think that changing the name on an account wouldn't be that much hassle as long as the account was paid up and in good standing.
they didn't have to so not sure why they said they did.Why would they have to shut it off to change the account? Sounds like an old system where there's some kind of hardcoded link to the meter or something. Are the others pulling similar BS?
Can't grandfather you in, eh? That might be a system limitation. New accounts have to be setup a certain way. Bummer.power is making me create a new account and I have increased fees and such because of that.
even though I've been the person paying the bill on time for the past 6 years. Big time bummerCan't grandfather you in, eh? That might be a system limitation. New accounts have to be setup a certain way. Bummer.
LOL. They would probably say they need dad's permission, to which you could respond that you'll happily arrange a seance. To my mind, it should be enough to have evidence that (a) you father is deceased (death certificate would take care of that) and (b) you are now the registered property owner. However, my mind tends to be a bit too straightforward for bureaucrats. In fact, why is there system not keyed on address or something with owner as a related record that can be attached so they could just remove him and add you? Again, too straightforward, I guess.even though I've been the person paying the bill on time for the past 6 years. Big time bummer
at the end of the call he asked if I had any other names to add to the account. Why didn't he just add my name to dad's and then we delete dad's name in a month or so?
